Harley Did It

Harley's Ponytail
There It Is

I canned 14 quarts of white and pinto beans today. One jar broke in the canner so I was one short for my shelves. More to go to fill up my bean shelf. We use so many of these. I use the white ones for baked bean, the pinto for Taco Soup. Of course the black ones are for burritos. So yummy. So that's why I keep my shelf full.
Harley has been growing her hair out since November and she finally can get it into a ponytail. She was so excited.
I also made mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak and corn for dinner. My kitchen looked like a bomb went off. Canners everywhere, bottles of beans cooling on the counter, dirty dishes filled the sink to overflowing. But the dinner was delicious and everyone enjoyed it.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Harley. She is so helpful with Gracie. I am so blessed to have the help I need for little Gracie. Blessed!!

Bubble Fun

 John

 Playing Bubbles

Harley, Janna and AJ spraying weeds.

Today was a wonderful relaxing day. I made delicious Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast and watched Janna and AJ put the bamboo back on the roof of the patio. Then it was a few games of Rummy with Gina, John and Austin. Leftovers from Cafe Rio for lunch and tons of time playing with bubbles with Gracie. She is just the sweetest little girl.
John and Gina left about 3pm to go back to Provo. I gave John all the left over Cafe Rio stuff. He had it all for dinner when he got home and he said it was as good as the first time.
I worked on scrapbooking and watch Pitmasters shows until midnight. What's up with that! I will be tired tomorrow.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that John has someone in his life. He seems very happy. Blessing abound!

Lasagna and Church

I thawed out hamburger meat for John to make Lasagna for us. He uses my recipe but his always tastes the best. I think it's the oozy cheese or something.
I got ready after talking with John and Gina all morning and went to church. Connie taught the lesson so I just had to tape there crowns together and we were done. We went on a long walk around the church to see things with their eyes. It's a good way to get the wiggles out of them.
Came home to a wonderful Lasagna dinner. It was really good and especially because I didn't have to make it.
 Setting Apart

 Sheep Dogs

We spent the night talking and just having fun. We played some rummy and just had a good time. Gina and I tried to beat John but he's pretty good.
I also finished these pages and posted them to our Facebook Page "A Page A Week". I want to get through 2013 and start 2014.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Gina. She is a super sweet lady. She makes John happy and that's a good thing. I am blessed!

Change of plans, John is coming again....
I cooked Cafe Rio Dinner all day long. It was fun to use a Jalapeno Pepper and Tomatillos.
Pulled Pork, Black Beans, Lime Rice, Cafe Rio Dressing, Pico de Gallo was the menu.
It was delicious.
Then it was off to Dairy Queen for Ice Cream with Gracie. She loves Chocolate Ice Cream. It was so good to visit with John and Gina. Gracie loves her Grandpa John.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this son of mine. He has always been so loving to me.

Cleaning - 10,000 Steps

Gracie and Janna

I finished my laundry, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned bathrooms, changed sheet, dated and put away my pantry food, balanced my checkbook and walked 10.843 steps. Now I am tired.
John was supposed to come this weekend but they asked him to work because it's the Parade of Homes so he is coming next weekend. Maybe I will keep my house clean so I don't have to work so hard next friday.
I also got my 90 year old Alaskan sour dough started in the mail. I fed it water and flour and tomorrow morning it will be ready to go. I am making bread in the morning to try it out.
Gracie and I went to Broulims after I picked her up from Lolo's and got things I needed. She got some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies. She just had to eat two on the way home.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful today for the energy I needed to accomplish the things I needed to do. I prayed for it and I got it. Blessings!!!

Happy Birthday to Hayden

 2008

2015

Today is Hayden's 13th birthday. He is a teenager now. And a wonderful one at that. Where did this little munchkin go. But I must say I love this bigger model even more.

Winco

I went to Winco this morning. I just needed to get it done. So off I went. It is hard but I love the money I save. I got Chia Seeds and Quinoa for adding to my breads and stuff. Chef Brad adds grains to everything he cooks. So I am going to try it.
After Gracie went down for her nap I ran into Idaho Falls again and bought my 4 bread pans that Chef Brad recommends. Now I am just waiting for my started to be delivered and I am ready to go.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Hayden Christopher Ingram. He is smart and funny. Always ready and on time. The cutest kid on the block. I am blessed to be able to watch him grow.

Sweetest Missionary I Know

Hermana Ingram and Sandeson

I read Hannah's blog this morning. It just made me tear up with joy. What an amazing missionary she is. So dedicated and fearless. I can't wait for her to get home so I can get a famous Hannah Hug. She gives the very best.
I spent about 3 hours at Karen's house trying to help her mom. She just doesn't have the skills to remember what she is doing. But we got her on Family Search and I taught her how to bring people over from Family Search into her Roots Magic Program.
Worked on Laundry all day and did many dishes. My dishwasher broke so I had to order parts.
I picked up Gracie from Lolo's and came home and make Mac N Cheese for dinner and Rice Krispie Treats for dessert. I made them in the Microwave. A method I learned from Heather at our scrapping weekend. Easy Peasy!!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful Granddaughter of mine. What a treasure she is to my family. Blessings Abound!!

Practicing Bread, Etc

Farewell Hermana Ingram

Hungry

Gracie and I spent the day together. I made Amish Country Bread and added a cup of whole grain flour. I am going to get Quinoa and Spelt and add them as I make my loaves. I used the thermometer method and it worked so well. I had forgotten to put on the timer so I was able to get it exactly done by taking it's temp. I love the things I have learned.
I also through out my sour dough started that I had started and ordered Chef Brad's. It was just to long of a process and I wasn't sure how it would taste.
I make a big pot of Potato Soup to go with it. Gracie wanted to help but she knows if it's hot she can't help. So she ran along and hung out with Harley and Papa in the barn.
My home teachers came to visit last night. Brother Bingham came with Brother Olsen. We were given a wonderful lesson and challenged to read the Book of Mormon. So now I will continue to read the Old Testament in the morning and a chapter of the B of M at night.
I finished the Farewill page and did the Hungry one. I have decided it I put it up on the computer then as the day goes on I just keep working on it and it gets done. Oh to be caught up. One Day!!
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for Chef Brad Classes, Home Teachers, Scrapbooking and Gracie. I am so blessed!!!!!!

Out To Lunch

Karen and her Mom

I went to lunch with these two lovely ladies today. It was fun. I am going over to their house on Wednesday to help them with Roots Magic. I just can't seem to get away from working with people on their genealogy. Maybe this is what my true calling in this life is.
I started a Sour Dough started from one of my classes on Craftsy. It seems so much work. I also ordered Chef Brad 90 year old Alaskan Started. We will see which one is ready or here first.
I started another scrap page today and started my laundry. I swear, it is never, never done. I made meatloaf for dinner with rice and corn. It was supposed to be meatballs but I read the wrong recipe so it became meatloaf. Too much milk.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my ability to do genealogy. What a blessing to have been able to find my ancestors and do their work. Blessed!

Another Beautiful Sabbath

 Gracie and Harley

Gracie and Janna

I sat by Sue today in Sacrament. She is such a sweet friend. Sacrament was very good. The Frantz' spoke and it was very interesting. Then it was off to teach primary. My class was just a tab bit crazy today but overall they were pretty good.
I came home to this little cutie. She stayed over at Janna's until she found out we had popcorn at my house and here she came. She loves popcorn. She had pizza, grapes and yogurt for dinner. Always and adventure when figuring out Sunday Suppers at my house.
I also finished this page so I could post it on "A Page A Week Group" on Facebook.

Gobble til you Wobble

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all my many blessings. This little munchkin is one of my most precious. I am so blessed.

Sour Dough Class

 Watching The Bowl

Adding Olive Oil

I was amazed that Brad would put a cup of sour dough started in his bread plus yeast. I didn't know that sour dough starter is really good for you digestive system. I learned so much. Now I have to decide if I am going to buy Brad's starter or make my own. I hate decisions. I also need new bread pans.
Kathy and I were so glad we had been able to learn so much. We got home around 12 pm and Austin took Kathy's things out to the car. And she was off to go home to St. George. We chatted a couple of times and she called me around 8 pm to tell me she was home. I was worried about her falling asleep. But she made it just fine.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that Heavenly Father watches over us as we drive. It is such a blessing to know this.

Bread Making Class

We learned to make bread 3 ways. Wonderful basil and black pepper rolls started off the class. So delicious. I learned the formula for adding grains or other things to the dough. He told us not to worry about making bread. To just have fun. You can add a little more of anything and it won't matter. I love his attitude. I just learned so much I can't wait to try these things out. The best tip I learned was pouring oil down the sides of the mixer bowl just before taking the dough out. It just falls out.
I took Brad a memory stick with 63 pictures of Buddy and Ida. He especially liked the one of his mom, June and Buddy and Brad and his three siblings. I am so glad I did that. We knew it was a treasure for him.
Kathy and I came home and made Pizza's we had bought at Walmart for the family and then it was time to relax until I couldn't stay awake any longer.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the things I learned about bread today. I know it will help me make consistently good bread. What a blessing these classes are.

Pressure Cooker Class

 My Beautiful Best Friend

 Cute Little Gracie

Chef Brad

We went to Chinese food today before we went to Chef Brad's classes. We weren't a fan of the food. It used to be so much better.
Then it was off to learn about Pressure Cooking. I learned a ton of things. He showed us how to make pasta dishes in 7 minutes. I also learned that he makes brown rice in the pressure cooker and he says it's so much better. I am going to try it.
I am so glad Kathy and I got to do this with Brad.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to learn from Chef Brad. I am very blessed to have a cousin like him.

The Gangplank

 Selfie Time

Kathy, Gracie and I went to The Gangplank for lunch. They do have the best fish and fries ever. It was so much fun just to visit with Kathy.
After lunch we came home and all of us took a nap. We were all very tired.
Kathy and I went to Broulims for groceries. We made Hamburger and Corn on the Cob for dinner. It was quite the adventure because whenever I go shopping with Kathy she won't let me pay and buys tons of extra things. She said I have to let her do this so she feels good about coming to visit. Silly friend of mine!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful friend of mine. I am so blessed to have her in my life.

Kathy Has Arrived

I sent an email to Hannah this week and she wrote me back this:

"Awe thanks grandma!! I cant wait to give you a hannah hug! I love you so much! Tell all the cousins that I say "Hola" and that I miss them (:
I love you Grandma con todo mi corazon!"

I need a translation for the final words. I was so excited to get this. She is just sooooo sweet.
Today I cleaned house to get ready for Kathy. I have her bedroom all ready. And she should be here any minute.
Kathy made it. She was a little tired. I fed her some beans I had made and she went to bed. I hope she gets a really good nights sleep.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my best friend. I love that we have a long history together. I am blessed.

Page of the Week Group

Baby Girl

I set up a group on Facebook called "A Page A Week". My scrapping friends and I are going to see if we can stay motivated by posting a page every week in our little group. So today I finished this layout of Heather and Gracie.
I think I will go back to all of Gracie's layouts and change the journaling and make a book just for her.
I made a Cheesy Hamburger Casserole for dinner. It was a new recipe and it turned out pretty good. Everyone liked it.
I picked up Gracie from Lolo's and we went to Broulims for bread and fruit. She came home and played in her sandbox. Cha Cha gave her a new sandbox toy so she was really excited to play with it.

Gracie

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful today for scapbooking. I am blessed to have learned how and am able to relive memories over and over. Blessed!!!

Safely Home

Gracie and my Ipad

We left around 9:30 and got Gracie from Tommie's. Then it was off to Village Inn to meet John and Gina, John's girlfriend. She is so nice and John looks so happy.
We had an uneventful drive and Gracie was just the best. She played with my Ipad and slept the whole way home. I was so glad to get back home. It's always fun to go and equally fun to get home.
I did nothing except make Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for Gracie, Harley and Bailee.
Now it's time for bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for safe trip. And that Gracie was so good. The power of prayer is amazing.

I had a hard time sleeping last night and was worried that I would be too tired to accomplish all the things I had to do. I got up and took my shower and went to Heather's to start making our Jam from the 3 flats of strawberries we bought last night at Payson Market. We had so much fun. Judy made Freezer Jam and Heather and I cooked our Jam. We did half pints all together.
We ordered Pizza for lunch and had chicken wraps for dinner. I have had so much fun and finished all my 12 pages for my wall.

Cabelas

 Looking at the Deer

 Looking at the Horses

Looking at the Fish

We left this morning to go to Utah for my scrapping weekend. Gracie is staying with Cha Cha so she can visit with everyone down there. She was feeling really good today with no runny nose. She slept for a couple of hours so the trip went really well. I am so grateful for the surgery. She would have been sick for a week and on antibiotics.
Tommy came along to drive me so I wouldn't have such a hard time with Gracie. When we go alone I have to get off the freeway to do things alot.. With Tommy driving I can just reach back and take care of her.
We stopped at Cabelas on the way down so Papa could show Gracie the fish and animals. She loved seeing all the cool displays they have.
Then it was off to Tommie's to drop her off. She was really excited to see her Cha Cha and Jimmy the dog.
Tommy and I went to a Mexican Restaurant in Payson and then headed up to Deans. I worked on my blog and sorted pics and now I am ready to go to bed.
I did finally get an email off to Hannah.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for another safe trip to Utah. I am grateful for a good little traveler named Gracie. Blessing abound.
