Babysitting Gracie

Swimming Page

 Not a happy camper.

The Boys think she's pretty cute.

Cuteness...

I babysat Gracie for Heather today while she went with her sister for the afternoon. It was fun and tiring. Austin, Hayden and Harrison played with her and made her smile. She was pretty happy to have them around. I work on this page in between taking care of her.
After Heather came back we went to the store and heated up the casserole Amie had left for us. Then we went to Provo to see Tony. He has a nasty eye infection from work and has to stay in the hospital overnight.
Now everyone is in bed and it's time for me too! Good Night!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my family. I think about how blessed I am every day. I love these grandkids and great granddaughter of mine.

Gracie and Heather

Traveling

Gracie and Heather

Today was a pretty busy day. Heather, Gracie and I went to Walmart and then to Heather's doctor appointment. I watched her in the waiting room until Heather was done. I had to change my first poopie diaper on her. What a cutey pie she is.
Then we came home and made pulled pork sandwiches and fed the boys and John and Heather.
Spent the night reading Austin's book. I can't put it down.
Uncle John had taken Austin to get his hair cut so that job is done for school.
I also made this page this morning. I may catch up before the Second Coming, but I'm just not sure.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for these two in my life. They teach me to love unconditionally and with all my heart. I am blessed!!

Arrived in Utah

Gracie May

Austin and I drove to Utah today. We left at 9:35 and arrived at 2:00. Pretty good time. We even stopped to get gas at Blackfoot and Tremonton for lunch at McDonald's.
Austin read his book to me called "Spirit Bear". What an interesting book. Can't wait to hear more.
We picked up Heather and Gracie and brought them up to Dean's for the weekend.
Heather and I went to the store and then I order Pizza so I wouldn't have to cook at all. John came over to have dinner with us. Now I am waiting patiently for 9pm so I can go to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this darling great granddaughter. She is so precious. I just love my family.

Pages and Sewing Machine Fixed

Children's Class

Tassie

Today was a pretty lazy day. I made these two pages and picked up my sewing machine that I had repaired. I canned oatmeal with a Gamma lid and made chicken and rice for dinner. That's been my day. I couldn't fall asleep last night so it made for a very tired day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the ability I have to digi scrap all my pictures. It always brings back such sweet memories and sometime hard ones. But it always worth the effort.

Women's Conference Page

Women's Conference

Janna and I went shopping for the kids and I got a hanging basket for my pantry to put my potatoes and onions in. We were worn out by the time we got done. Janna had a terrible back ache so she was miserable.
Came home and made Carmels for the second time. The first time they were too soft. But this time they were perfect. I just need to pour them on a silpat so I can cut them easily. I think these are a great Christmas treat. What should I learn to make next. Pasta, that's what!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful today for Janna. What a wonderful daughter she is. I am blessed to have her in my life.

Ward Council happened at 11am and then I attended all my meetings. Came home from church and did absolutely nothing. That's been my day.
I made this page this morning so I guess I did accomplish something.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the opportunity I have to attend church each week. It is something I really look forward to. I am blessed!

Harley's Off to College

 Book in hand.

On her way in her bright blue truck.

Headed to Idaho Falls for class.

It has been a restful peaceful day. Harley and I went to Broulim's to get some butter and treats. I changed the sheets in the spare bedroom so it is ready for anyone who shows up. Vacuumed my house and worked on a Kit to scrapbook with. I got tired and had to quit. I also did this page.

Workers Page

I'm cruising right along doing these pages. I am determined to catch up. Now it's time to enjoy the summer rain storm and watch TV.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the rain Heavenly Father gives us to make things green and beautiful. And I won't have to water my garden tomorrow.

All Alone in my House

Besties

Bubbles

Today I am all alone in my house. I think I like it for a little while but I don't think I want it for too long.
I took my sewing machine to Abbot's to have their repairman look at it. Then it was off to Broulim's for my prescription and stuff for hamburgers for Harley and I. Bailee and Austin are with their dad.
Worked on these pages and cleaned house and did laundry.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my hubby. I miss him and appreciate all he does for me. I am blessed.

Tommy and Janna Gone to Utah

Girls and Pets

Are you Kidding Me?

I went to the Temple with Sue and Ila this morning and did 20 initiatories so I will have names to do Endowments for. I love the Temple and the absolute peace I feel there.

Tommy and Janna left this afternoon to go to Utah. Janna is helping Anne clean student condos and Tommy is hanging out with Dean. I hope Janna doesn't work too hard and I hope Tommy has a really good time. It's way too quiet around here. Bailee has gone to a football game with Kasina Hatch and Harley is working so it's just Austin and I.
I made Pasta for dinner and Foccacia Bread. Now it's time for TV and putting my feet up.
Grateful Statement: I could not go to the Temple and listen to all the blessing we are promised and not be so grateful for them all. I am blessed to be worthy to enter His Holy House.

Scrubbing Floors with Austin

Birthday Boy

Silly Faces

Austin and I scubbed all my pergo floors. It's a lot of work but with his help we got it done in nothing flat.
I worked on these pages in between going to visit Margaret and Lyn, our newest sisters.
Tacos for dinner and now it's time for R and R.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the sisters in Relief Society. I am grateful for the service they give to each other. We are blessed to belong to such and wonderful organization.

Organizing My Paperwork

Arrow of Light

I spent the day organizing and filing all my paperwork. I got rid of excess stuff and made file folders for everything. Now I can find anything I am looking for without going through a stack of papers.
I also made this page of Austin when he got his Arrow of Light. I am having fun scrapping and catching up.
I talked with Heather tonight. She is going to stay at Dean's with me when I go next weekend to stay with the boys. It will be so fun to be with them both.
I set up visits for tomorrow with 2 new sisters so I will be visiting them tomorrow. Church work never ends.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that loves me and knows my struggles. He takes me as far as I can go and then gives me a respite. The refiners fire is painful but necessary.

Making a Menu

Goatie

I worked on this page this morning and went over to the church to print off some reports. I organized the Birthday Pot Holders and had just the right amount, thanks to Peggy for all her hard work.
I worked on a monthly menu so I won't have to think about what to have for dinner.
I made Chicken Noodle Casserole and Brownie's for dinner. Now I'm going to watch the season finale of "Major Crimes".
I took Austin and we delivered the reports to my Visiting Teachering District Supervisors. We even found Sue's house she is renting.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my willing helper Austin. He will do anything I ask. I am blessed with such a good helper.

Beautiful Sabbath

Blast Off

I started this page before church and finished it off after. Church was really good. It was Dane Bloxham's farewell so there were a lot of people there. The rest of the meetings were very good. I really enjoy going to church.
I'm a tad bit tired today so that's all folks.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life. It is my anchor in storms, when life gets hard I can always find solace from my cares.

Making Bread With Austin

 Measuring Ingredients

Out of the Oven

I weeded my garden this morning and harvested some vegetables. More laundry, I ask Tommy how we dirtied so many clothes. But it's done.
Austin came over and I showed him how to make Wheat Bread. He is going to be quite the baker. Next is Pizza Dough.
I made Janna a Coconut Cream Pie and worked on these pages. A very relaxing day that I really needed.
 Busy

 Clean Up

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this grandson that wants to learn how to bake with me. He is so very sweet. I am blessed!

Visiting Teaching and Play Time Page

Play Time

I went visiting teaching with Megan this morning. She has two sweet, cute little kids. Her husband sells something and they go out of state all summer. What a sweet girl. She said she had been inactive and was trying to do better. I know she will be an asset in our ward.
Then I made pizza dough for pizza tonight and finished this page. One by one, they are getting done.
I'm tired and I'm going to bed. Good Night!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for visiting teaching. I get to know so many sisters when I teach them. What a blessing Heavenly Father gave to me.

Idaho Falls Temple, Pages and Service Project

Posers

I woke up at 4am and couldn't fall back to sleep so I got up and worked on pages. One more down tons more to go.
At 9am Sue and I left for the Temple. It was a huge session and it took forever but it was wonderful as usual. It so good to have a friend like Sue to go with.
Tonight we went to 4 sisters houses and washed their outside windows and pulled weeds and had a progressive dinner along the way. So much fun, we laughed and laughed. I think it was helpful to the sisters that we served.
Now I am dead tired and going to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the willing hands that want to serve each other in Relief Society. These truly are Women of Zion.

Water Hose, Mowing and My Hero Pages

Water Hose

Mowing

My Hero

I just wasn't feeling very good today. You know those kind of moods that make you so grouchy. My sweet hubby made dinner for me and Bailee did most of the dishes. I love my family.
I worked on these pages today so I can get caught up one day. It's fun to scrap again. Can't wait for scrapping weekend next month.
That's all I have the energy to blog because mostly I just sat around all day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful today for the love Heavenly Father has for me. I know he loves me no matter what kind of a day I have. He sees my heart and knows what my intentions are.

Island Park with the Bradshaw's

Austin, Annalisa and Nichole

Left at 10am to go to Island Park with Collen and her girls and cute Austin. They had a great time floating down the river even though it was very cold. But they got used to it and had fun. We had Subway for lunch and an Ice Cream before we headed home at 2:30. It was a fun day and very relaxing.
Grateful Statement: I never tire of the beautiful scenery in Island Park. Heavenly Father is good to me.

Dr. Machen, The Best Dentist Ever

At 10:30 I went to the dentist for the first time in a few years. It always seemed so expensive to have my teeth cleaned so I procrastinated until I finally decided if I wanted to keep these pearly whites I'd best be taking care of them. I made an appointment and with total dread I headed off to see Dr. Esther Machen. It was so pleasant. No one squirted cold water or air in my mouth so it was painless. Then Esther told me exactly what I had to have done. I have one cavity between two teeth that needs either a filling for $200 or a crown for $850. She went through my xrays and the pictures they took of my mouth and told me what everything meant. What a relief, I thought she would tell me I needed implants and bridges like my old dentist told me. I can't afford to do that and I'm 67 yrs old so I think I'll just keep on keeping on with what I got.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the knowledge Heavenly Father gives to people so they can fix my problems and Tommy's. We are blessed to have so much dental and medical help.

Catch Up Again

Monday: One of my very good friends came up to visit me today with her kids. We have been scrapping buddies for a very long time. I just think she is so sweet. She was off to visit her daughter at BYU Idaho and meet her boyfriend.
John also came to see me. What a nice surprise.
Tuesday: Don't really remember what I did.
Wednesday: Heather and John left so my house is much too quiet.
Thursday: Went to the Temple and saw the new movie. It was so awesome. Sue and I went to Rexburg first and found out it was closed so we went to Idaho Falls. We made it for the 10am session. Came home and had my presidency meeting. We planned whose houses we are going to to do work for our service project. Now I just have to call the sisters and make sure it's alright:
Friday: I made a macaroni salad for the ward party tonight. Austin, Bailee and I went to the BBQ. It was fun and the kids had a good time.
Saturday: Worked on uploading and correcting the scrap pages for 2009 and 2010. Now they are uploaded and ready to be printed by Persnickety.
Sunday: Went to Ward Council meeting this morning and then to my church meeting. I am conducting Relief Society for the month of August. Came home so tired I took a nap for 1 1/2 hours.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my blessing. I am so blessed with wonderful sisters in my ward. It has taken awhile to truly feel at home but I have made it. I am blessed

Pages Scrapped on Vacation

Trolley in Springville, Utah

Riding Horses

Sleeping on the Tramp

Fun Stuff

Water Fight

Dean and the kids left today to go home and I got ready and went to Church. It was fast and testimony meeting and two young men bore really heart felt and wonderful testimonies. One was baptized yesterday and the other young man had lost his mom to cancer and he told about her coming to him to comfort him. They were so inspiring.
Came home and made Tacos with Janna and went to bed. So very tired I couldn't stay up.
I posted the pages I finished on vacation. I am bound and determined to catch up.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the lesson Tiffany gave today. It made me want to be a Sister Scriptorian. I so need to do better. I am so grateful for the gentle reminders Heavenly Father gives to me.

Home Again

Hailey and her Barbecue Chicken Pizza.

Chloe found a new friend. Whiskers the Bunny!

We left Great Falls this morning and started our last leg of the drive home. Montana is beautiful country. We stopped for snacks a couple of times and got home around 3pm. I went to the store and got sandwich stuff and pizza making stuff.
Hailey made pizza's for us from the dough I made. We used my pizza stone in the oven. They were so good. We had Chicken Alfredo, Barbecue Chicken and Pepperoni pizza. They were a hit and not one morsel was left. Not even a piece for Harley.
Now it's bed time for me. I'm one tired lady.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful vacation that took me on. What a wonderful son to do this for us. I am blessed

Crossing the Border

Long, long line crossing the Border.

 Almost up to the front.

 Good old USA.

United States Custom Building.

We left Banff at 8am and headed home. The kids and Dean were supposed to go canoeing but it was raining too hard so off we went. It was a long drive to the border.
We spent 2 1/2 hours in line going through customs. I guess it was a Canadian Holiday so the wait was long. But we finally made it through and then we headed for Great Falls, Montana to spend the night.
It was a 12 hours trip but we finally made it to Great Falls and the only place that had a room was a Quality Inn. But the bed was comfy and we were tired so it all worked out. We went to dinner at Cafe Rio. Yummy. It was so good to find American food.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful trip with my darling grandkids. They took good care of Gramps and me. I am so bless with the family I have.

Lake Louise

A Chalet right on Lake Louise.
 Rainy day on Lake Louise.

 Lake Moraine in the Rockies.

Glaciers feed this lake.

We went to Lake Louise today. It was so beautiful but it started raining so I was soaked and I could hardly take a picture without rain drops on the lens. But we managed. We went through this Chalet that is a hotel. Pretty swanky. Too rich for my blood, but beautiful.
Then it was on to Lake Moraine that was up in the Rockies. We were so close to the Ice Fields. Both these lakes are fed by glaciers. It was spectacular. That's all I can say.
We saw a bear on the side of the road when we were driving to the lake. Harrison took some pretty good pictures for me. What a fun Scrapbook page that will be.
I also worked on more pages. I am coming right along with 2011. Yep, 2011 then 2012 and by then it will be 2013. One day I will catch up.
We went to dinner at a place that serves Flatbread and pizza. I had Chicken Noodle Soup. Pretty good but I make better. Just different I guess. But it was still good.
Now it's time to pack up my stuff as we are leaving this Condo at 7am. Nighty Night!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful today for my family. As I witnessed these beautiful creations that God made for me to enjoy I was overcome with gratitude for all he has given me. The best of all my family.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
