Court of Honor

Austin is conducting the Flag Ceremony. They have a cute little card for the boys to read. And he's wearing the new scout pants grandpa bought for him today. He is in full uniform. That made his leaders happy.
All the scouts getting their picture taken from the youngest to the oldest. They are a good looking bunch.

Austin is now a 1st class scout. Now on to be a star scout. He also got his first aid merit badge. Now he has to look something up on the internet and he will have another one.

After scouts Austin loves to play basketball in the cultural hall with his buddies. I am glad he knows how to have lots of fun.

And this would be my sunbeam named Kinzli. She is the Bishops daughter and is so cute. I just love these little sunbeams. They just make me so happy.

Kinzli

Well that's been my day. I made Taco's for dinner and I made my very first successful Mexican Rice. I found the recipe on the internet and it was delicous. I know it was because Harley, Bailey and Austin said so and believe you me they let me know if they don't like something. Now it's time for me to go to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the gospel and especially the youth programs. What a fantastic help they are for the youth. And I am blessed to have this cute little Kinzli in my sunbeam class.

Austin is a Deacon

Dean and Amie and the kids came up last night so we could spend Easter together and Dean could ordain Austin to the Aaronic Priesthood. Amie got up early this morning and hid Easter eggs all over the yard. She even hid some in the chicken coop. She said the chickens were a little upset that she was putting eggs in their nests. Too funny. Here are the kids coming out to find eggs. Whitney was so excited to hunt eggs. I love her absolute joy at the small things in life. She is a blessing in our lives and makes everyone a better person just because they know and love her.

Here are the kids finding eggs everywhere. They are having so much fun.

Austin and Harrison scoping out the side yard trying to find all the eggs.

Hunting Eggs

And here is all the loot they collected. They are dividing up the eggs to make sure everyone has an equal amount. I so love these kids. They are just as cute as can be and the make me sooooo happy.

Checking out the loot

After the hunt everyone got ready and we went to church. It was a wonderful service and my heart felt so full with gratitude for this wonderful family I have. Dean ordained Austin to the Priesthood and gave him such a wonderful blessing. It made me cry. Janna, Ronnie and Harley left after the ordination so they aren't in the picture. It was so very good to have my family with me.

Family

After church we came home and changed clothes and Janna made really delicous deviled eggs. I made Chocolate Lush, green salad and corn and Amie brought a Honey Baked Ham and last night before she went to bed she made her famous rolls. They are so good. She made a double batch and I think we have 4 left. Then we sat around and talked, laughed and just had fun until they had to leave to go home. My house is just too quiet without everyone here.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my wonderful family. I am so blessed to have them in my life and I am grateful for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of Him I know I will see my mom again when I leave this life. What a comfort that is to me.

Sidewalks Poured

Yesterday Tommy, Janna and Garth poured sidewalks. Janna had called for concrete and when it got here they really had to work hard but my front walk and back walk are done. That was an all day process. We went to Mexican food when they were all done. Then we all headed for bed to get some rest.
This morning we woke up to 3 inches of snow all over the sidewalks they had poured yesterday. Janna and Tommy found concrete blankets out in the barn and brushed all the snow off and covered them up. Hopefully they will be alright. It proceeded to snow all morning and by the afternoon it had stopped.
Bailee and I went to the market for stuff for Easter dinner. I make Spaghetti for the family and cleaned house.

Poor Mollie

Janna bathed the dogs and vacuumed the hair off Mollie. Mollie likes to bark at the vacuum and I don't think she was so happy about it getting her. Janna can make this dog do anything and she let her vacuum her all over. The dogs were so white and shiny when they were done.
The kids colored Easter eggs tonight for the hunt. Dean and Amie and family are coming tomorrow and I am so excited to see them.
Now it's time for me to go to bed. I need lots of sleep so I'll be all rested up tomorrow.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my family. I love all my kids and grandkids so very much. What a blessing to have them in my life.

Safely Home in Idaho

I hugged my best friend goodbye and got in my car and away I went. I drove and drove and drove. I stopped for gas, potty breaks and lunch in Tremonton. It was a save uneventful trip. Just the kind I like. I got to Idaho around 3 and put my feet up for awhile then it was time to make potatoes to go with the wonderful roast Tommy had put in the crock pot.
I gathered eggs, loved on my doggie who missed me very much and watched American Idol. Then it was time for doing dishes and going to bed. I had a most wonderful time in St George with my best friend, but I'm glad to be home with my hubby. Now I'm tired and I'm going to bed.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for a safe trip home. And a loving family who missed me. It's good to be missed. I am blessed.

Going to the Temple Again

Kathy, Darell and I went to the Temple again today. It was good to do another session. I am getting my cards done fast. After the Temple we went to Baskin Robbins for an Ice Cream and then came home. Kathy planted her Tomato plants and Darell and I worked on my genealogy trying to fix the mess people keep making of it.
Then we went to the Toucan Center to watch Kristin's daughter Avery and her son Aiden sing with the choir from their school. It was so fun to watch and they did such a good job. It was really fun.

All the schools with their choirs.

Aiden and Avery's school.

We came home and watch "Body of Evidence" and now I'm going to bed so I get plenty of rest for my trip home tomorrow. It has been so much fun visiting my best friend. I told Kathy I felt like I had gone on a spiritual retreat. With conference and attending the Temple I have been spiritual fed.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for Kathy and Darell and the wonderful time they showed me while I was here. I'm a blessed to have such good friends.

Going to the Temple

St George Temple

Kathy and I went to the St George Temple this morning and I wore my new Temple dress. We did a session and I took one of my cards through. It was very wonderful. I really needed it.
After the Temple we went to Applebee's for lunch. It was delicious. I love their Oriental Salads. So yummy. Darrel and Kristin came and had lunch with us also. It was good to have some good laughs with good friends.
We went back to Deseret Books and I got a slip. I can't seem to find mine in my bag. Now I have a new one and when I find the other one I'll have two.
We made General Tsao chicken for dinner. It was yummy. All Kathy's kids and grandkids came over and ate with us. Everyone loved the chicken so it was worth the work.
Now it's time for my head to hit my pillow. I'm tired and ready for sleep.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the Temple. So much peace waits inside for me.

Sunday General Conference

We watched both sessions of Conference today. What wonderful messages. I have started making changes in my life to help me become more spiritual. It feels good to be going forward. I also downloaded the entire two sessions onto my ipod so I can listen again on my drive home.
That was pretty much all we did today. My cough is back and it's driving me crazy. I think I need to go back to the doctor and find out what this is all about.
I took some cough medicine so now I must go lay down before I fall asleep standing up.
And today is Harrison's 13th birthday. A teenager at last. I called him and wished him a happy birthday. What a sweet boy he is. He told me he took notes at conference and I told him so did I. I think that says alot about his spirituality when he will take notes of conference.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful today for all I have and especially for Harrison and the wonderful messages received from Conference. I can just see Harrison giving talks to the congregation at a general conference. I just love him to pieces.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
