Peaceful Lazy Saturday

 Granola

Cookies for Janna

I had a wonderful Saturday. Just had fun cooking things and canning pasta in my gallon jars. I love them because I just use them over and over.
We took Tommy's Blood Sugar Level today and it just said HI which is over 600. We are taking it again in the morning to see where it is at. I became concerned when he drank glass after glass of juice and milk. If it's still high tomorrow he will have to head to the doctor on monday. He had eaten an Apple Fritter and drank 2 huge cups of Hot Chocolate so maybe it will be better. He drank sugar free stuff the rest of the day. So we shall see.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I love to cook and bake. It just makes me happy to learn fun stuff and be able to cook for my family. I am so blessed.

Baking Bread Again

 Helping Grammy with the bread.

Filling the crock pot.

I watched cute little Gracie today. She helped me make bread and pork chops in the crock pot. She absolutely loves to help.
I made bread from the dough in the fridge and made another batch for the fridge. Such good bread and so easy.
Kathy called me to tell me Darrel fell yesterday and is in the hospital. He didn't break anything but he has huge bruises so they put him in the hospital to manage the pain.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father. What a gift to know He is there for me.

Temple Day

I went to the Rexburg Temple with Sue this morning. I always, always, always feel so much better when I come out. I needed inspiration to figure out callings. They reorganized the Primary on Sunday and took one of our teachers so I needed a replacement and a Compassionate Service Coordinator. I felt really good about the people we had decided on so I sent an email to the Bishop and his counselors with names. We will see how it goes. They need primary teachers so we will see.
I came home and made a pot of Italian Pasta and Bean Soup for dinner. It was all I could muster up today.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I live so close to two Temple and I am able to go weekly.

Visiting, Visiting, Visiting, and Winco

Today was a long day. I had to print out Visiting Teaching reports at the church and then go to Shannon Brown's house to train her to be our new Visiting Teaching Coordinator. I went into Idaho Falls to Winco for groceries. What a job. But it is done so I am soooo glad.
Then it was time to visit Carolyn Thurman with Aarin. We had a nice visit. What a super sweet mother she is. So patient with her 4 kids. Came home and made hamburgers for dinner and then it was time to go visit a new sister in our ward. By the time I got done I was ready for bed.
I do enjoy getting to know all the sisters in our ward so it's a good thing to visit.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for this calling. It is hard and takes tons of time, but I love getting to know the sisters in our ward. I am blessed.

Bread Making

Master Dough
+
My first Baguette!

My first loaves made from my Master Dough.

I watched an artisan bread video on Craftsy.com that I had purchased. It was so much fun to see all the breads I can make with my Master Dough that will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. The bread was delicious. Bailee said it was her very favorite I have made. Even better that my focaccia bread. I can make pizzas and pita bread or cinnamon rolls. What fun it is to see all this. The possibilities are endless.
It reminds me of when I lived in Acton and my friend Debbie and I made Sour Dough Bread. Same techniques. And the bread was delicious...
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to learn new things. I am always trying to learn something new. I am blessed that I am able to do these things.

Gracie's Barn

 Gracie's Barn

Gracie loves her barn she got for Christmas. She is having so much fun making it play music and animal noises. I babysat her today so Heather could work. We have a good time together.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for this wonderful little girl. She has brought such joy into my life. What a blessing she is.

Sabbath Sunday

As I sat in church with Bailee on Sunday I just felt so much love from Heavenly Father. He is so aware of me and my challenges.
Brother Black was our speaker from the High Council. He really laid it on the line.
"Are you reading your scriptures every day" "Why not"
"Do you say prayer morning, noon and night" "Why not"
He talked of the sins of commision and omission. So I am going to be more regular in studing my scriptures daily.
Emma Giles gave our lesson in Relief Society. She is such a fun teacher.
That has been my beautiful Sabbath.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows what I need and reminds me of my weakness' so they can become my strengths.

My New Chair and Gracie

Gracie is stealing my chair.

She has watched Papa change light bulbs.

 So Brave

Helping Grammy make Brownies

My wonderful IKEA chair finally bit the dust so Tommy and I had to go get a new one. Of course Gracie has to take it over. Such a cutie. She watches what everyone does and tries to do it too. It truly is a joy to watch her grow.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful that I have the means to replace my chair. I know I am blessed beyond measure. I just have to see homeless people and know how blessed I am.

Cleaning Cupboards

 Organized

My favorite room in my house!

I am on a mission to clean every cupboard, drawer and shelf in my house. I have finished my pantry (big job) and my laundry room. Now I'm starting on my family room where my computer is. Tons of cupboards in there. It really is a feeling of accomplishment to have my pantry done. On to the next.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the energy I have to get this big job done. Heavenly Father knew I needed his help to get this done. Blessing abound in my life.

Watching Gracie

I watched Gracie today so Heather could go to work. She is so much fun. But I was very tired from going to bed so late that it was a pretty hard day. But I made it so that's what counts.
Crystal and I visited Heather Hardin today. She is such a funny lady. She would like to do genealogy for an additional meeting. I will have to think on that and see what we could come up with.
The horse boarders from Canada showed up this evening. They had huge trailers. They are staying the night in their trailers and going on to Buckeye, Arizona to some training seminar. They were pretty funny and had such fun accents.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for all the sisters in Relief Society. They are all so diverse and have such different personalities. I just love to get to know them. I am blessed to have this calling so I can get to know them.

Blessed Sabbath

I talked with Kaylyn on Saturday and she told me to have a Blessed Sabbath. I decided to take her up on it and make sure my Sabbath was Blessed.
I went to ward council and we were given instructions to train all our people who are under us. The Bishop want everyone to absolutely know what they are responsible for in their callings. So off we go to figure out how to do that with as little stress as possible. I asked the Bishop if we could do a ward cookbook and we got his okay.
I came home after church and felt really sleepy so I laid down and slept for 3 hours. Tommy came in to wake me up and tell me it was dark outside. He was worried that I was sick again. I love that he cares for me.
So because I slept so long it was 2am before I could get to sleep. Bummer!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Blessed Sabbath. I love going to church and getting recharged for the coming week. I am blessed....

It's My Birthday

What a fabulous day. I was wished Happy Birthday so many time I lost count. I love my friends and family. Janna made Sweet and Sour Chicken for me and the family gave me Gamma Lids for my buckets of food storage. Now that's how to win my heart. Heather bought me a Birthday cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me.
It was a good day.
I finished canning my beans and filled my empty spaces. Just a few more left and it will be full. Probably one more batch.

Canned Beans Galore

That was pretty much all I did today. I cleaned a couple more shelves in my pantry. Lots of dust gone. I went over to Janna's tonight to tell everyone thank you for my wonderful birthday and this is what I found.

Janna and Gracie playing ping pong!

Pretty Cute Kid

She loves her Aunt Nanna as she calls her. It's so fun to watch them together. And this ping pong table the kids got for Christmas has been so much fun for everyone. Harley is playing and Bailee is waiting.
Grateful Statement: I am so very grateful for my family. Every kid of mine wished me a happy birthday and told me they loved me. That's what I have worked  for all my life. I think I made it. I am so Blessed...

Going to the Temple

Sue and I went to the Temple today. It's so good to be on track again. I always feel the Spirit there. I had some Relief Society changes that I needed confirmation for and yep I got it. Works every time. Sometimes yes and sometimes no but almost always an answer and when I don't get one I think it's my time to choose.
I just hung out in the afternoon and cleaned some more on my pantry.
Grateful Statement: Today I must be grateful for the Temple where I find answers to my prayers and concerns.

Going to Utah

Pick  up and trailer to haul her horses.

 Opening her barn

Hayden with the computer he built.

Well New Years Eve came and went. I was sound asleep when 2015 came rolling in. But then I'm always sound asleep when any new years comes rolling in. I made a dinner for New Year's Day and did nothing else. I enjoyed every minute of my day doing nothing.
On Friday I took the Sister Missionaries to Idaho Falls for exchanges. I just love the sisters. I am glad they call me to help them out. They are so cute and funny.
On Saturday we left for Utah to pick up Heather. We were supposed to go to St George for New Years but a big storm came in and Tommy didn't want to drive in it. It's been a long time since I haven't been with Dean on his birthday. I snapped this photo of Hayden. He is so cute to let his grandma take pictures of him.
We got up Sunday and Janece brought Madison to Dean's so she could ride home with us. She is attending BYU Idaho. What a sweet girl she is. She was so good with Gracie. I can tell she has younger siblings.
When we arrived home Gracie opened her second Christmas from us. We got her barns and trucks and trailers with lots of animals to haul around.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my family. I am so blessed that they are mine. My grandkids just make me so happy. I am blessed!

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
