Roof Is Going On

Today Logan started on the roof. It was so cold I really felt bad for the guys up there. Doesn't it look so sunny and warm. Well looks are deceiving because it was very cold even with this beautiful sunshine. The plumber also started on the plumbing. I did laundry, straighten up the house, made beans and corn bread and watched the workers work. That's what I did today. We are going back to Utah tomorrow and just rest up for a week. It's supposed to be 7 degrees tomorrow so that's too cold for Tommy and I to try to do anything in. Besides we need to get some stuff done at home.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for plumbers and roofers that know what they are doing. I am glad we are able to find workers at reasonable rates. Thanks to Janna and her friends.
Matthew 28 - Mark 1 I love in verse 19 where his disciples are told to teach all nations and baptise them. Same thing we are told to do today.

Sabbath Day

Bailee, Austin and I went to church today. Janna was helping Tommy with more electrical. She had to crawl under the house and run wire for the furnace. Church was good but I had a hard time because I was so tired. Their Stake is indexing 1 million names this year and gave a presentation for the 5th Sunday and invited the youth. It was pretty dry but hopefully someone caught the vision of indexing.
We came home and Gene and Kim came over to visit and then Scott took us to dinner. We had nothing in this house to eat. From now on I am going to make sure we have something to fix for Sunday dinner. If I had realized I would have gotten something yesterday. Lesson learned!!
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for the gospel. It's so nice to know that I can walk into any church and feel at home.
Matthew 27 - Matthew 28  This chapter tells of the resurrection of the Savior. I am so glad that I will see my mom again because of the what my Savior did.

Putting up Gang Boxes

Janna, Tommy and I put up the electrical boxes. It was a tab bit cold in the house. The cold wind was blowing through the windows so our hands were freezing but we got a lot of it done. We went into Idaho Falls to take Tommy to lunch for his birthday. The we went to Home Depot so Tommy could buy himself a birthday present. He got some big old drill for making holes in the wall. I liked my Nook better. When we got home we worked some more on the house and when it got too cold for all of us we came in and hung out for the rest of the evening.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for my wonderful daughter and all the hard work she does for us. We really couldn't have done this without all her help. She is the best.
Matthew 27 - Matthew 28  I have a hard time reading this chapter. It's hard to read what the Savior went through when he was crucified.

Running Errand Day

They were still working in the house so we couldn't get in to do the electrical until tomorrow so I'm not going home until next week. Janna and I ran a ton of errands and then I worked on her books. I'm her new bookkeeper, because that's what I did for years. We went to the cannery in Idaho Falls to get pancake mix as it's so much cheaper. We got there 15 minutes after they closed. Drat!!
Now that's been my day. I am beginning to truly love it up here and especially being with my daughter.
Janna made pancakes for dinner and we watched TV and went to bed. A good day.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for the sunshine that appeared for about 2 hours this morning. It just made me happy.
Matthew 26 - Matthew 27  Peter must have felt so bad after the cock crowed and he realized what Jesus had said. That must have been so awful.

Dinner and Home Depot

Today the framers worked on our roof all day. They had to frame where the addition meets Janna house and the garage. I don't know how they can figure all those angles out. Our framer Logan is the one people call when nobody can figure out how to frame stuff. I'm glad I found out about that. We know that it will be right. He gave Tommy a birthday card on his birthday. How sweet is that.
Tommy and I had to go back to Home Depot to get the tar paper and nails and flashing for the roof. We also looked at cabinets and formica samples. I found some I liked but it they are too expensive I'll just go with the premade ready to hang. I found some Hickory ones that I liked and we would just have to put them up on the walls. After we loaded all the stuff up in Tommy's truck we went to KFC for dinner. Ron was taking the kids to dinner and Scott and Janna had bowling so it was just us. We had a fun time. You know you're old when going to Home Depot is considered a date!!
John called to tell me American Idol was on. So I watched the last half. Thank goodness for Dish and prerecorded edisodes. I can watch the first part when I get home. Austin and I played Frontierville after he got home from scouts and Bailee and I watched TV.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my Tommy today. I am grateful for all the years we have been together. He has always been by my side through thick and thin, and we have had lots of thicks and thins. I just love that man.
Matthew 25 - Matthew 26 I love verse 40 "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me." Maybe this is why it feels so good to do things for other people. One of my favorite Scriptures!

Happy Birthday to my Hubby

Harley, Bailee and Austin wishing Grandpa a Happy Birthday!
Tommy "Birthday Boy" cleaning up snow so it can dry out in here.
Here come the trusses.
They were able to put the trusses on today. Tommy and I were entertained all day just watching these guys climb all over the top of the walls. I would fall off the very first thing. I cleaned up Janna's house a little and didn't do much of anything. I made Tommy a Birthday Cake because today is his birthday. We sangHappy Birthday to him tonight. He is 73 years old. Wow, how did we get so old. We were young just yesterday! I made Spaghetti and Garlic Bread for dinner and then we sang to Tommy. Now it's bed time.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for a cute little grandson Austin. He is always in a good mood and comes home from school all smiley. He goes straight outside to see if anyone needs his help. Isn't that cute. He seems to have lost his hammer today so he's going to play his DS.
Matthew 24 - Matthew 25  There is a little sentence in the study guide that says, "Treasure the word and you will not be deceived." It is probably because it says the even the elect will be deceived. Makes me know that I need to keep studing my scriptures and not quit....

Going to Home Depot

Daddy Daughter Date to Home Depot
Walls are up, Wahoo!!!
Crazy Snow Dogs, Molly and Maggie
Tommy, Janna and I got up and got ready and went to Home Depot. Tommy got all the electrical for our house. They were supposed to swing the trusses today but it was snowing too hard so they are doing it tomorrow. I couldn't believe it when I got up and it was snowing. I really am getting sick of winter.
When we came back from Home Depot, Janna made some Chocolate Chip Cookies. They were so good. Then we just hung out waiting for the snow to go away.
Molly just loves being with her sister. They run around and play all the time. They both really like running around and eating the snow. I would play ball with them but I don't think they could find it.
I had to go get Harley tonight from Young Women's as she wasn't feeling very good. But by the time I waded through the snow in my slippers and knocked off snow to make my windshield wipers work and finally got going it was almost time for it to be over with. I was so glad the girls in her class came knocking at her door tonight and took her there.
Janna, Bailee and Austin went skiing this afternoon to Kelley's Canyon. They really had fun. Too cold for me or I would have went up and taken pictures. If I ever went out in it I might get used to it.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for Harley Anne. She is such a hard worker. She sets her alarm for 6am every morning and gets up and goes out in the dark to feed all her animals. She is sweet and kind to her grandma.
Matthew 23 - Matthew 24  I learned to "Enlarge the borders of their garments" was when they added tassles and enlarged the borders so they would be more noticeable. Not so humble of an attitude.

Back to Idaho, Again

I have this drive down to a fine art. Molly and I just go! John loaded my little kiln in my car for me before he left for work because it is heavy. I went to the bank, gas station and Rite Aide to pick up mu prescription and off I went. I met a lady in Salt Lake that I had sold my Kiln to. We loaded the kiln into her car and I got my $100 in cash and off we went again.
I got here about 2:30 and got to walk through my house. I can almost see what it will look like. Tomorrow I will take pictures. I made Potato Soup for dinner and watch "The Closer" with Janna and now it's time for bed.
Grateful Statement: Today I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to just get in my car and travel. I have always loved to travel (I get that from my mom) and I am grateful that I have the ability to do so.
Matthew 22 - Matthew 23 "Thou shalt love the Lord with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." I love this verse, it makes me want to do better.

Busy Sunday

Today was such a busy day. I got up at 5am to make sure I had time to go over Michelle's lesson before church. I was the only member of the presidency there today so I conducted and then turned over the time to Natalie for her part of the lesson. It was wonderful and she did such a good job. She said she was nervous but she never showed it. She just gave the lesson and all the sisters participated so she was able to use up the entire time. I just had to bear my testimony and remind the sisters that Heavenly Father is in charge! I went home in between Sacrament and Sunday School to get a copy of the check I gave the bishop for my tithing. They had not recorded it somewhere so it didn't show up. Then I went to Sunday School to hear Walt Norton teach a fabulous lesson which I learned later was on the spot. He took the manual and his scriptures and got up and taught. Such a gift...
I came home from church, changed my clothes and went to Yvonne Salcido's to help her with her genealogy. I finally had to call Darell and he told me to sign on as a helper because we couldn't figure out her password and the church system was down. We finally found the people she was looking for that had 12 children and none of their work has been done. She had hit a gold mine.
After 3 hours we printed up her FOR and I came home to get ready for my visiting teachers that were coming at 5 and my home teachers that were coming at 6. What a busy day.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the Gospel today. I so love all it has for us. It makes this life easier to get through.
Matthew 21 - Matthew 22 I learned about the wedding garment and why the man was treated the way he was because he wasn't wearing one. Very interesting.

Closet Cleaning Day

I started cleaning my closet this morning and it took me all day. I packed up 6 black trash bags of clothes to give to DI. My closet looks so much better and I know I'll never miss a single thing I gave away. I had Calvin Klein jeans size 10 saved for who knows what. I got rid of everything that doesn't fit or I don't like to wear. I kept saying to myself "What's the point of keeping stuff you never wear." It made it easy to get rid of  stuff. Now my closet looks all neat and orderly and I feel good about what I accomplished today.
I have been feeling a little lonely again today. I really miss Tommy. Usually it's me going away with my friends to have fun and leaving him here. I wonder if he feels like me. Probably not. I think it's a me thing.
I have to study for a part of the Relief Society lesson tomorrow that I'm teaching for Michelle. She is sick so I'll be doing it all tomorrow because Susan is out of town. I hope it turns out alright.
I think I need to get all this finished and go to bed. I woke up early so I'm getting pretty tired.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for the energy I have had to be able to clean my whole house yesterday and do my closet today.
Matthew 21 - Matthew 22 Jesus told the Jewish leaders many witnesses that he was the Messiah and they wouldn't believe Him.

Gorgeous Hannah

I got up this morning and started cleaning house. Heather and I were going walking but it was 21 degrees outside and that's too cold for me. So I continued working on my house. Some realtor was showing it at 2pm so I cleaned everything and made it all shiny. I wish my hubby was here to help me, plus I miss him. I may just have to go to Idaho this week afterall. Molly and I left for our drive so they could show the house without a dog barking at them. I went to the Distribution Center and got a student manual for the New Testament. They had the Seminary one but not the Student Manual I wanted because they are redoing it and I have one packed away somewhere. The seminary one will have to do.
I came home from that and sat down and did nothing until I went to pick up Hannah, Harrison, Hayden and Josh Dalton to go to Hailey's basketball game. They won by a huge lead. I felt bad for the other team. They were out matched completely. I took this picture of Hannah being the videographer for her dad. Isn't she just gorgeous.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for my Hannah. As I was watching her I just thought how beautiful and grownup she looks. I love the way she is so kind to her grandma. She always reads things for me when I don't have my glasses and just is so sweet to me.
Matthew 20 - Matthew 21 This chapter tells all about the laborers that were all paid 1 penny even if they only worked one hour. The manuel brought up an interesting question. What message of comfort can this parable have for converts to the Church? I had never thought of it that way before.

Enrichment Day and Night

Today was a long, hard day. We had Enrichment at 12pm and also at 6:30pm. It was a success so it's all worth it and I really needed to be with the sisters today. The food was delicious and the movie of Joseph Smith was so powerful. Not a dry eye in the house. Watching what the pioneers went through it really makes me appreciate what I have and how little we are asked to sacrifice. I got home at 9pm and I am going to lay my tired body down.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Joseph Smith. He did so much for us and gave his life. The gospel is true, The Book of Mormon is true and we do speak of Christ.
Matthew 19 - Matthew 20  The parable of the rich young man reminds me that possessions are not what we need to focus on. It's the spiritual things that we will take with us to Heaven.

Finally Took Down the Tree

Here it is the 19th of January and I'm just getting my tree down. Too many trips to Idaho. I carried the boxes down to storage and tomorrow it's the tree to storage. I won't be using it next year so it's going in a garage sale. Too tall for my 8 foot ceilings. I wanted 8 foot so I could easily change light bulbs and smoke detectors. My ceilings in this house are so far up there we have to bring in a huge ladder. Because I'm afraid of heights I can't get up on one more that two or three rungs. I am such a baby!!
I also went grocery shopping for the stuff to make soup for tomorrow. I have been kind of tired today so it's been a struggle to do anything. I just have to make myself do every little thing. Now it's time for my tired eyes to call it quits and go to bed.
Grateful Statement: Today I am especially grateful for Dean. He has a heart as big as the sky and really loves and cares about his family. I don't know what I would do without him and his sweet family.
Matthew 18 - Matthew 19 We are not too offend little children. We are become like little children. You only have to teach in primary to know what this means. They do not doubt!

Home from Idaho

I came home today from Idaho. Molly and I had a non-eventful trip. We just drove and drove. We stopped at McDonald's in Tremonton and Molly got a hamburger patty. Her very first fast food. I didn't feed her this morning hoping it would help her car sickness. It must have because she made it with flying colors. She really did not want to get in the car at Janna's. I finally had to tell her sternly to come here. Funny dog.
I came home and did some laundry, picked up dog poop, carried up boxes to take down my Christmas tree, went over the stuff for our Relief Society meeting for Thursday and now I'm going to open a can of soup for dinner. Tommy stayed in Idaho to deal with plumbers and such. It's pretty lonely in this big old house without him.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for my hubby. I feel very safe and secure when he's with me. I'll just have to hot foot it back to Idaho when I've done all the stuff I need to here.
Matthew 17 - Matthew 18  When the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn't cure the man's son Jesus told them they did not have enough faith. It made me think if I have enough faith.

Standing up the Walls

They stood up the walls today. Logan called all his brothers and Janna and Scott. The wall was long and heavy but they got them up. Now they are all up and ready to do the interior walls tomorrow. Today was a lazy day just watching them work. I worked on another page but didn't get it finished. Janna made Chinese food for dinner and we watched another episode of "The Closer" and then it was time for bed.
Grateful Statement: Today I am really grateful for builders that know what they are doing so the rest of us that have no idea can have a house to live in.
Matthew 16 - Matthew 17  The disciples must have been very sad when Jesus told them what was going to happen to him.

Rainy Day

Today it rained off and on all day. It made the snow all slushy. I want some sunshine!! I went to church with Janna, Austin and Bailee today. It was really a good Sacrament Meeting. The speakers were wonderful. One of the speaker's oldest son was in a gang in California and shot up a house in a drive by and injured a lot of people. He talked about following the Savior and how his son had made some really bad choices. My heart just went out to him and I thought of Justin and how short his life was because of gangs. Makes me sad... He should have been around to hang out with Janna.
After church we just pretty much hung out and watched it drizzle. I made a cake for the kids and Janna made Zita for dinner. Very good. I worked on this page and finally finished it. I must keep scrappin to keep up with my picture taking.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful that none of my kids got into gangs in California. I was so blessed. I am glad we moved to Acton to get away from all that.
Matthew 15 - Matthew 16 There is so much to learn in each of these chapters. Jesus didn't waste words. This tells of feeding the multitudes with 7 loaves and and a few little fishes.

Shopping Day

Janna, Bailee and I went to the mall in Idaho Falls today. Janna got tank tops, I got a Lyra Light for my nook, Austin got new gloves for skiing and I got Harley a Lyra Light for her birthday next month. It will be a good early birthday present for her when Scott and Harley get home. They went to Utah and Colorado to pick up antlers. Bailee got 2 new crabs for her fish tank. Everybody is happy...
We made burritos for dinner and watched "The Closer" all night. Janna and I really love this show. Austin and I played Frontierville today. We have a lot of fun farming together. We like collecting money and getting rich selling our crops and animals. If only it was so easy in real life.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my grandkids. I so love all of them. I think of them everyday and pray for them. I keep their names on the Prayer Roll for added protection. They are the absolute joy of my life. I was listeneing to my voice mails finally the other day and there was a message from Hannah wishing me a Happy Birthday. I just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. That's why I'm grateful for my grandkids today and everyday.
Matthew 14 - Matthew 15  How barbaric to behead someone. I guess somethings never change. They still do this in the middle east.

Texas Road House for Birthday Dinner

 My daughter the Skidster operator...
Janna made this day my birthday day again. I do believe I am having a janice-a-thon. Janna had called to make an appointment for a pedicure for us, so we walk in and they had no appt set up for us. We were at Serenity Spa in Rigby but we finally figured it out. Janna had thought she was calling Serenity but she had called LaBelle's. We had a good laugh over that. It was tons of fun and while my toes dried Janna went to the tanning beds and got some sun.
After we were all done with that we gathered up everyone and went to dinner at Texas Road House. They have the most delicious rolls. Just like my mom used to make. We are all tired and ready for bed. Good Night!!
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for a wonderful daughter that loves me. She is so sweet to me. Thanks to her I had another wonderful day celebrating my 65th.
Matthew 13 - Matthew 14  This chapter is filled with parables that Jesus taught. I had made a note in the margins about verse 32 the says, "birds = Angels come to gather their children" Old Testament Study Guide.

Walls Are Going Up

The framer started on the walls today. And the Truss man from BMC came. They are redoing the blueprints for some reason. We are the only truss job BMC has right now so they are all over it. Lucky for us.
Tommy and I went to the store for a few things for Potato soup and I had to get a new pair of slippers because I left mine at home. We came home and snuggled in Janna's nice warm house and watched it snow and watched the framer work hard. His helper hurt himself last night while skiing so Logan "the framer" told him to go to the doctor to make sure he didn't have a broken rib. Logan is the brother of Garth who Janna works with. Austin came home from school and the next thing I know he is out helping Logan keep the snow off the floor. Now that's a worker! And of Course I couldn't help taking a picture. And would there ever be a time on when we wouldn't have a kitty in the picture. Callie Cat was our star today.
I did laundry and made some delicious potato soup, even if I say so myself. Janna and Scott went bowling and I'm going to bed.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for all Janna's friends that always seem to know someone who can work for us. They are all so helpful.
Matthew 12 - Matthew 13  Jesus was judged because he picked corn for his disciples on the Sabbath. I guess judging other isn't a new thing after all.

Heading Out to Idaho

I packed up my bags and got ready to go to Idaho. I decided to leave today because there is a storm coming in sometime and I wanted to miss it. But before I left Heather and Judy took me to lunch for my birthday. We went to Mi Rancherito in Payson. The food was good but the company was better. I just love these two ladies. We always have fun together. Food, fun and laughter with good friends. That's how to spend your days.
I came home and loaded up my car and took Malachi home to Pleasant Grove and headed out. It was a good drive. No snow anywhere. I stopped once at a rest area near Tremonton so Molly and I could go potty and that was it. I got here at 6pm. The little kids were skiing so Janna and Scott had to go pick them up. Harley helped me set up my Nook and download the Scriptures. Now I am all set. Now it's bedtime because, once again I can't figure out how you can get tired sitting on you fanny, but I am.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for pray. I am grateful that I can pray for a safe trip and then head out by myself and never worry. I feel Heavenly Father watching over me.
Matthew 11 - Matthew 12  These are some of my favorite verses that have given me so much peace in my life. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

My Nook

I went visiting teaching with Jacque to Joan. We really had a nice visit. I came home and worked some more on Relief Society. Tommy left to go to Idaho but before he left he gave me a present for my birthday. It's a Nook... What a sweet hubbie. I had talked about wanting one for church so I wouldn't have to have my heavy scriptures. Now I have to have Harley show me how to download the Standard Works on it. It was a very nice surprise. I just love that hubbie of mine. I guess we must be really good for each other to last all these years. I also got the cutest handmade card from Heather.
John made Malachi steaks for dinner but I had already eaten. Malachi gave me wonderful hugs and told me he loved me. Nothing better than grandkids who love you...
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for my dear husband. I don't say it enough but I love him with all my heart.
Matthew 10 - Matthew 11  Jesus calls the Twelve Apostles. His instructions are so much like I think of when the missionaries are sent out.

Happy Birthday to Me

I had a most wonderful birthday. I made it to 65 with most of my facilities intact. My birthday started out with Hayden singing Happy Birthday to me and birthday wishes from the Ingram clan over the phone. Then Janna called to wish her mom a Happy Birthday and John gave me a wonderful birthday hug before he left for work. And lots of my friends gave me birthday wishes on facebook. I felt loved!!
I had a presidency meeting this morning and we got lots of planning done again. We had to clean the house for a showing so that took up the rest of my morning and afternoon. Then when the realtor came I took the dog for a drive. It seems we have done this a few times before!
My cute, sweet Amie and John in the background. (Shhh, don't tell him his picture is on the internet.)
My yummy Hot Fudge Walnut Brownie Sundae. It was yummy. My Hannah is quite the photographer...
Here we are all trying to eat it up, except Hayden because it has walnuts and he's allergic. Amie is helping him find ice cream and no nuts.
Dean and Amie took all of us to Dalton's for dinner. Amie is so funny. She keeps things fun. John and Malachi came with us too. Now if I would have had Janna and her family and Heather, I would have had all my wonderful family to celebrate with. My Chicken Alfredo was wonderful. Hannah had to help her grandma by reading the menu to me. We ended up getting the same thing, Chicken Alfredo. Malachi loved his too. We know what's good at Dalton's. We had a great time laughing and talking and opening presents. Heather tried to call me last night to wish her grandma a happy one but I couldn't get the call excepted. I hope she calls back tomorrow so I can tell her I didn't hang up on her. Besides, I love to hear her sweet laugh and have her tell me she loves me "big much up to the sky".
Grateful Statement: How could I not be grateful this day for my wonderful family. They make me feel so special. I love each and every one of them. I love their individuality and especially how they make me feel so very loved. I'm one lucky (or is it blessed) lady.
Matthew 9 - Matthew 10 Jesus was truly no respecter of persons. He loved everyone and turned no one away no matter what they had done. He was continually forgiving people their sins.

Snowy Sunday

Kathy, Darell, Tommy and I went to church this morning. The time has changed so we go at 9am now. It was a very good service. Good speakers, good teachers and good friends. Who could ask for more. We came home and had lunch and talked for awhile and them Kathy and Darell took a nap. I tried but couldn't sleep. We made steaks and baked potaotes for dinner and Kathy and I chatted until midnight and then I had to go to bed because my eyes were closing. That was my Sunday with my bestest friend.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful today for church. I am grateful for the things I learn. I am grateful for the friendship and love I feel in my ward.

My Bestest Friend is Here

I drove back down to the Hampton in Provo this morning to scrapbook. I finished this page and worked on a couple more that I will finish later. I left at 5pm to come home and spend time with Darell and Kathy. Darell has an appointment Monday so they came up for the weekend. I just love my bestest friend. She has a heart as big as the sky. We talked until 9:30 and then I had to go to bed because I was too tired to talk anymore.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for Kathy. I am so blessed to have such a good and loyal friend that loves me no matter what. And it's good to have a friend that remembers "when"...
Matthew 8 - Matthew 9 This chapter tells of the faith of the centurion soldier and the gifts of healing the Savior did.

Scrapping Weekend

I got up this morning and went to Judy's to have my hair done. Then I got ready and went to my Scrapping Weekend. These are the 2 layouts I got done and I redid a reunion page that I didn't like. I was very tired from lack of sleep so I left around 9pm and came home. I am finishing this off and going to bed so I can get up in the morning and go back.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my scrapping buddies. They make my life fun, fun, fun!!
Matthew 7 - Matthew 8  On of my favorite scriptures in all the world is contained in this chapter.  "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

Balancing the Checkbook

Today was balancing the checkbook day. I got it all done. Then I changed sheets and did laundry. I made Barbeque Chicken, Baked Beans and Baked Potatoes for dinner. It was very good.
I took a good nap on my couch today. It was so relaxing. I just could hardly wake up. I have been tired lately. I don't know if it's stress or just plain laziness. I am excited about Scrapping Weekend tomorrow. Maybe I can start scrapping again. It's been awhile since I've wanted to do any pages. We will see what this weekend brings. I also arbitrated some Census records and made phone calls for Relief Society. There you have it, short and sweet!
Grateful Statement: I am grateful today for the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus. I love to read his words and what I need to do to be better.
Matthew 6 - Matthew 7 More direction to his disciples. The Law of Moses fufilled by the Law of Christ.

Another Genealogy Day

Today Susan came over and we worked on the New Family Search so she could learn how to do it. We worked on Jacque Taylor's line. It was fun and Susan is so smart the she got it the first time on everything. We printed a FOR so Susan can take it to the Temple and get cards printed out.
After that I did some house work and made Rice Pudding and took some to Yvonne Norton. She is such a good friend to me. I just love her...
That's been it for the day. Oh, and I also found a pattern for a skirt and some fabric so maybe tomorrow if I have enough energy I can make one. We'll have to see how that goes. I felt pretty good this morning but I noticed this afternoon my throat started hurting again and I was extremely tired. So I'm going to go hug my pillow.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for the New Family Search that makes it possible to set at your dining room table and submit a name for Temple Work. I love technology.
Matthew 5 - Matthew 6  How marvelous for His disciples to set with Jesus and be taught by Him.

Genealogy We Are Doing It...

I went to the Provo Mall this morning with Tommy and spent my Christmas Gift Card from Dean and Amie. I got shirts and socks and I'm going to make a couple of skirts. I tried to find church dresses but they were all short and ugllllly. After that we went to Macey's and did some grocery shopping, came home and put it all away, Tommy chopped up a head of cabbage, I made cole slaw dressing for Tommy. Then I worked on Relief Society stuff until it was time to go do genealogy/visit teach Arleen Hopkins. We fixed a couple of things that were wrong and got her father sorted out. We had to send a request to Salt Lake to unhook him from his Aunt and Uncle. We'll be waiting on that answer. I was there until almost 3:30. Just as I was finishing up my throat started getting a little scratchy and as the evening progressed I now have an official sore throat and Sinus pressure. Took some Nyquil and hope it's gone in the morning.
I came home and worked some more on Relief Society stuff and made corn bread to go with the beans I made today with the left over ham. They are yummy!
Tomorrow I am for sure going to get a new study guide for the New Testament. I have searched everywhere and can't find mine.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful today for Malachi. He is very sweet to his grandma. I enjoy it when he comes over and stays with us.
Matthew 4 - Matthew 5  I want to study this chapter where it says that satan tempted Jesus when I have my study guide.

Presidency Meeting

This morning I was up early so I could have everything done by 9am when we start our meeting. We got a lot of things planned and then I ran around getting lessons to people and such...
Tommy took my car and got it fixed so we had to go pick it up and then I made Spaghetti dinner. I feel like I have been productive but it doesn't seem like much when you put it in writing. I did get a couple of drawers decluttered and I arbitratred some census'.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for my Savior. As I have been reading the New Testament it just makes me feel so blessed to know of Him and His mission.
Matthew 2 - Matthew 4 I love the part about the wise men visiting Jesus. Susan's sister wrote a book about the gold, frankincense and myrrh. It is a beautiful book that tells of what a great gift they were to Mary and Joseph.

Starting the New Testament

I went to church today. It was a little hard because I still had a headache but I went and learned things and felt uplifted. That's why I go. Tommy was too tired so he stayed home.
After church I took a nap and it did help my headache. Then Tommy and I went to Dean and Amie's for Taco's to celebrate Dean's birthday. Tommy had gone to the mall yesterday and bought Dean a jacket. I love how Tommy does that for him each year.
I came home after dinner and arbitrated more records that where marked in a glowing red, meaning get them done or "puff", they will be gone.
I decided instead of studing the Pearl of Great Price I would read the New Testament being as that's what we are studying this year. I need to find my Student Manual tomorrow so I can read it along with my scriptures.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the gospel. Cynthia asks us what our lives would be like without Jesus Christ and all he has done for me. I just couldn't imagine what life would be like without the gospel. So much would seem so hopeless. How could I have ever endured my mother's passing without knowing she would be free of pain and in Heaven.
Matthew 1 - Matthew 2  What a brave and wonderful woman Mary was. And how honorable was Joseph.

Finished the Doctrine and Covenants

Today I have had a headache and just felt blah all day long. I did manage to finish the Doctrine and Covenents. I started on October 7th. I did a couple of loads of laundry, some dishes and indexed and that's about all I accomplished. I set new goals for 2011 in indexing. I am going to arbitrate 100,000 name by the end of the year. Tomorrow I am going to wake up feeling great. I just know it....
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for a brand new year. I know I will be able to accomplish all the things I want to.
Section 138 - Declaration 2  I did not realize that if the Saints would have continued practicing polygamy that the Temples would have been shut down and all the work for the dead would have stopped.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
