President Meeting

I walked with Sue and Ila this morning. I really enjoy it once I get there but the getting there is the hard part. I am just going to keep on trying.
I had my presidency meeting today. We added new sisters to the list and that changed a few companionships around. Then Peggy and I went over to the church and put the changes in. She will have them all ready to pass out Sunday. She is just the best secretary ever.
Grateful Statement: Every time I have a presidency meeting it just makes me so grateful for them. They are so diligent and fun to work with. I am blessed to have them.

Going Home To Idaho

Tommy finished helping Harrison with the chicken coop today. After it was all done I said goodbye to everyone and we headed home. I made Tommy drive through Salt Lake and I took over just before Tremonton. It was an uneventful drive, thank goodness. Good to be home again. I just so love my little house.
Spent the day off and on with a sister in our ward that is having issues. It was a hard day but I made it through and so did she. Now I'm exhausted and going to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the love Heavenly Father and Jesus have for me and the sisters in our ward. I just wish they all knew how much. He has been where they are. He has walked their path. He knows what they are going through.

42 Movie and Dinner

Amie and Hailey at a Cajun place in Payson

Hannah ignoring my picture taking skills.

 Tommy and Dean

Harrison sat by me in the movie.

Dean took us out to dinner and to the movie 42. It's the life story of Jackie Robinson. What a great feel good movie. I am so glad we have made it past all this. America wasn't so great back then.
Tommy and Harrison worked on the chicken coop today. Harrison is quite the builder.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for Dean and Amie and how welcome they make us feel always. I am so blessed.

Heather and Megan

Heather and Megan

We arrived safely in Utah yesterday and just did nothing the rest of the day.
Today I took Heather and Megan out to lunch and we went shopping so I could get a cute outfit for Gracie. It was a fun time full of tons of laughter. Heather and I always have so much fun together. She is just the best.
Amie made delicious Mexican Corn Chowder for dinner last night. What a good cooker she is as Bailee says.
Worked on genealogy and now I'm tired and going to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for these two sisters who call me grandma. I love them dearly and glad they are in my life.

Straightened up my house.
Had a presidency meeting.
Went Visiting Teaching.
Handled a crisis in the ward.
Going to bed.
Grateful Statement: Today  I am grateful for the Temple. I love the peace and inspiration I get from going there. I am especially grateful that Colleen went. I know it will help her. I am blessed beyond measure.

New Baby Colt

This little baby hasn't even got up yet. So very cute.

Today I cooked up a storm. I made potato salad with the potatoes Brother Chase gave me that were huge. I used them all up so I didn't waste a single one. Then I made Baked Beans using my canned Pinto Beans. Next on the list was Cole Slaw. I cut up all the cabbage and made dressing so Tommy will have his Cole Slaw he loves. Then there was the Romaine lettuce looking at me in the veggie drawer. I got my salad spinner out and washed and spun it dry and put it in the fridge, all ready for a salad. Then I had some apples that I needed to use up so I made Jello with apples, walnuts and mini marshmellows. It's Janna's favorite kind. Tommy barbecued hamburgers to go with all this. I also worked on a page that I will probably finish tomorrow and post.
That's been my day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this little farm I get to live on. To see these precious baby animals just makes me know Heavenly Father created them all for us to enjoy.

Austin's Track Picture

Austin

Connie Peterson took this picture of Austin at his track meet. She posted it on Facebook so I could see it. What a lady. I just love her.
Austin went with the YM/YW to do baptisms for the dead on Saturday. He had a good time and spiritual feelings so it was a true success.
Bailee spoke in church today on the restoration. I am so grateful for mormon.org. You can always find a good talk.
A sister that I have been trying to meet sat in front of me in Sacrament. I didn't realize who she was. Very pretty lady and I think her sister was with her. I ask if they were visitors and they said yes. But would give no other information.
It has been a good Sabbath day. The Bishop called Tommy tonight and ask if he could meet with him next Sunday. Tommy agreed so we shall see. I won't get my hopes up.
Grateful Statement: My heart is full tonight for my Heavenly Father that loves me. I know he does and I feel it!

More Fun Page

More Fun

One more page done today. I'm on a roll....It's so fun to scrap all these wonderful memories. How I love this niece and her family. Can't wait for them to come this year.
I tried to figure out what was wrong with my 3rd submission that the Temple couldn't print. I guess come Monday I will be calling Salt Lake so maybe they can figure it out.
I made Kara Cook's recipe for Pecan Crusted Salmon with the salmon Dean gave us. Can I say delicious. Only Janna, Tommy and I would eat it. The kids like rice and corn and the left over mashed potatoes, but no fish. They just don't know what they are missing.
Cleaned my huge mess in my kitchen. I just don't know how I dirty so many dishes.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life. I am grateful for the direction it gives me.

Fun Page and The Merrill's Came to Visit

Fun

Heather, Joe and Megan came and stayed the night at my house. They took Megan to BYU Idaho today to her apartment. I should of took a picture especially of Joe doing my dishes last night. What a guy. Lucky Heather!
Yesterday I went to the Temple and had a bunch of cards printed out for Dean. One of my files didn't print. I am trying to figure out why. Maybe I'll figure it out tomorrow. After I came home from the Temple I went and visited a couple of new sisters in the ward.
Today I worked on this page. I decided I better catch up before Kathy comes out this summer. I like the way it came out and I didn't run one single paper through the cardboard action. I may have lost my mind.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for Kathy and her family. I love that they come and stay with me every summer. I am blessed.

Winco

I went to Winco this morning early and there was hardly anyone in the store. I forgot my money envelope at home so I just got the bare necessities to get me by until I can go back.
I had to find sisters to take meals over to a pregnant sister that is on bed rest. I hope everything will be okay. We are trying to fellowship her. Since they moved into the ward a couple of months ago they haven't been to church so we are working on her.
Then I had to prepare a food order and run around getting that done.
Next on my list was getting my hair cut. It really needed it. I had forgotten my appointment last week because Kathy and I were having too much fun.
Then the neighbor's little girl came to my house after school to wait for her older siblings to get off the bus. Her brother missed the bus so I went to the Junior High to pick him up and deliver them both home.
Worked on genealogy off and on all day. More names to submit.
Prepare a roast for barbecued sandwiches and delivered eggs to two sisters in the ward.
Watched American Idol and now it's time for bed. What a day!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve the sisters in our ward. I am blessed to have this calling that affords me the chance to get to know all the sisters in our ward.

More Genealogy

Went walking with Ila this morning. Sue is in California so it's just Ila and I.
I found 17 more name to do the work for today. I just can't seem to stop. One name leads to another. How I love this work. It's like detective stuff.
Tired and ready for bed.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the opportunity I have to sit at home and find all these ancestors. I am blessed to have an awesome son that paid for Ancestry.com for me.

Missing My Best Friend

 Granola, Yum....

Brownie Mix

Totally forgot to blog yesterday. I made granola and missed my friend. That's what I did yesterday. And worked on genealogy. My sweet son Dean bought a subscription to Ancestry.com so I could do my genealogy. By this morning I had 20 people ready to print cards on. Maybe that's why I forgot to blog. I do get lost in genealogy. I will look at the clock and hours have gone by.
Today I made this Brownie Mix. So cheap to make and it makes some good Brownies. I got the recipe off Facebook where Peggy had posted it.
More genealogy done today. The wind blew so hard no one wanted to go outside and it was cold so I stayed snuggled in my house all day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Ancestry.com and how easy it is to find my ancestors and have their work done for them. I am blessed to love this work. Always have, always will.

Rexburg Temple

 Me

Kathy

We took these pictures with Kathy's phone when we came out of the Rexburg Temple. It was a wonderful session. I am trying to learn and remember all the things I hear. And to be in a session with my best friend was just the icing on the cake.
Then we went to Applebee's for lunch and I had the Oriental Chicken Salad as always. We came home and I made Lasagna using our Mozarella and Ricotta we made. It was so yummy. And Kathy made Foccacia Bread.
Then we had to go one more time to the Prepared Pantry so Kathy could get some brownie mix on sale. We just love that store.
Back home again to feed the kids and have dinner and then on to the Book of Mormon Class. I love the things Brother Black teaches. He just makes the book come alive. Now it's time to blog and go to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this class. I love to hear about the people in the Book of Mormon. I want to know it all. And how will that happen. Study, Study, Study. What a blessing!

Dry Ice

 Canning Dry Milk

Using Dry Ice

Kathy and I went into Idaho Falls to the cannery and bought some milk for Kathy to can and I bought black beans, quick oats, reg oats and cocoa for Tommy. Then we went to Walmart and got buckets to put it in and Dry Ice to can Kathy's milk. We found these cute little buckets for Kathy's milk.
We were going to make Cheddar Cheese but we didn't have the right kind of culture so we had to put it on hold until we can order it. As we were canning Kathy's milk one of the bucket bulged, which is a bad thing, but it didn't burst so I guess it's okay. I think we might have put too much dry ice in and it said to leave the lid loose for 1 hour and we tightened them down after 45 minutes. We learned how to do it and what not to do and that was a good thing.
Then we went to Applebee's for lunch and then we took the family out for Mexican Food when Janna got off work.
We watched American Idol and now it's bed time.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the Gospel in my life. I am grateful that Kathy shares all my beliefs and we can talk all day long about what we believe. I am blessed to have such a friend.

Cheese Making With Kathy

 Started with Milk.

 All our gadgets we needed.

 Mozarella Cheese

 Ricotta Cheese

Kathy and I got up this morning and made Mozarella and Ricotta cheese. It took us all morning but we did it and the cheese is delicious. The hardest part was getting the Ricotta whey up to temperature. We learned a lot of stuff. We are official cheese makers.
Then we went to a cheese store in Rigby and looked at their operation. It was fun to see there huge vat where they put their milk. Then it was off to "The Carmel Tree" for two caramel apples.
Fish sticks, fries, tartar sauce and cole slaw for dinner.
Back to the church to put in a visiting teaching companion ship and to the market for one more gallon of milk for the Cheddar Cheese we are making tomorrow. Done for the day.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for all the things I am able to learn. Knowledge is from God and I think it pleases Him when we learn new things.

Catching Up

Kathy and I watched the morning and afternoon sessions of conference. So many good talks. I took notes so I could remember the high points that touched me and were meant for me. I so love our Prophet and his counselors.
Monday we went to the Gang Plank for lunch and to Walmart and the Restaurant Supply store. What fun we have together. Tommy made us a cheese press so we are ready to make cheese. Tomorrow we are making mozarella. We went to Reed's dairy to get the milk.
I made Taco Soup for Meshawn Woolf who just had her baby. Brittany and I took it over to her with the blanket Tiffany made from the Relief Society.
Kathy brought some Cranberry Beans and we made a crock pot of those. They were very good. Now Kathy know how to make beans in crock pot. Yeah for her.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my friend. She is so like my sister. I am glad that she comes to visit me. I am blessed.

Saturday Conference

I loved the poem by Boyd K Packer and I really hope he is around to add another verse when he is 98. I have grown to dearly love him.
My favorite of the morning session was when President Eyring talked about if we serve and do all we can he will sent angels to our wayward children just as he did to King ?? son. I have prayed for angels to attend to John and lift him up and now I know that it is possible. What comfort that gives me.
My best friend Kathy showed up at around 5pm. We had hamburger and some Chocolate Lasagna and chatted until 10pm. Too tired to talk anymore. Going to bed....
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for conference and all the messages that were given. I am grateful that I finally thirst after the words of our Prophet and Apostles. I've come a long way.

Bailee Getting Her Learners Permit

Bailee at the DMV.

Thursday I picked Bailee up from school and took her to the DMV to get her learner's permit. She was so excited. She is so cute and has fabulous hair.
I went to the Temple with Sue and our Book of Mormon class. So my Thursday was so wonderful.
Today I walked with Sue and Ila. I put all the names I had found in my Roots Magic and decided to go over to the Library to do more research and when I got there it was closed and only open by appt. Bummer. But I'll go again soon. How I miss the Salt Lake Library.
Then I made pizza for the kids. Lesson learned: do not punch it down and let it raise again. I couldn't get it to cover the bottom of the pan.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Bailee. She is super sweet and cute. I am blessed with the most wonderful grandkids in the world.

Doctor Visit

I cleaned house and worked on genealogy all morning. Then at noon I went to the library so I could look up some stuff on ancestry.com. I found a whole family that had no work done. Wahoo, I knew there was someone.
Then I went to the doctor about my big toe. He said that I was right in my assumption that it was my $100 Asics that were too small. So when my shoe hit my toenail as I walked it damaged my nail bed. Hence the blood under my toenail and the pain. But it's getting better. Now I have to soak it and get the dead skin from the side that hurts. If it doesn't feel better in a month I may have to have the side of my toenail removed if it's an ingrown nail. That's the story. I feel much better about it. Now to get a new pair of shoes, and give my Asics to the DI. So sad for me....
I came home and made a taco casserole for dinner and worked some more on genealogy. I found another family that had no work done. Get ready Harrison, here comes name for you and your dad to do.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the genealogy library and ancestry.com. They make finding my names east. I am blessed to have such a place in Rigby.

Gracie May Janice Ingram

  .
 Amazing little face.
Another of her amazing little face.

Gracie

I walked with Sue and Ila this morning.
I cleaned the spare bedroom with fresh sheets just for Kathy.
I did dishes again.
I took the girls to Walmart and made these copies of Gracie's first pictures. I had to scan them and then get them printed so I can send copies to Heather.
What an honor to have this little one with my name.
Now it's time to get my sewing machine fixed so I can sew up some blankets.
I made Chicken in a blanket with gravy for the kids. Austin helped me and it turned out really good.
Janna took the kids to YM/YW so I didn't have to.
I worked on genealogy today. I am going to the library tomorrow to look up some stuff.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this little great grand child. I can't wait to hold her and spoil her rotten. I am blessed to have another little one to add to my prayer list.

Harrison's Birthday

Harrison

Today is Harrison's Birthday. I stole this picture from Amie's facebook. He is so grown up and handsome. I called him to wish him a happy birthday. How I love this kid.
I wasn't in a very good mood today. Just not too happy with things in my life. Too much stress and worry. But I always know that tomorrow will be better. My Motto, "Fake it until you Make it." So happy thoughts and happy actions.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for this wonderful grandson of mine who honors his priesthood and tries his very best to be a dang good kid. He is so very sweet.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
