Tomato Plants

 6 Tomato Plants

Gracie and Papa

Tommy planted 6 different kinds of tomatoes in my garden. Next year we are only planting Better Boy's. They are the best for canning. They are really doing good and are loaded with green tomatoes. Can't wait to start canning them.
I looked out my kitchen window and there was Gracie riding on the mower with grandpa wearing her sunglasses. She loves to help Papa mow the lawn.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful man. He loves Gracie to pieces and loves to spend time with her. He is such a good grandpa to his grandkids. I am blessed.

Gracie came home from Lolo's and wanted to play in the water. So we got her bathing suit on and away she went. She bathed her baby in the hose. She really loves playing in the water.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the Gospel. I am grateful for my Savior and the Scriptures that he left us to read and study. What a blessing they are to me.

Making Peanut Butter Cookies

Gracie Licking the Spoon

Gracie is helping me make peanut butter cookies. It's one of her favorite things to do. She always wants to help me with whatever I am making. She puts the ingredients in the bowl and always has to have a taste of the brown sugar. And she loves to lick the bowl. What a cute little helper she is.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this little angel that brings such joy into our lives. She always makes me happy.

Lolo's

Gracie May

I picked up Gracie from Lolo's and had to take a picture of her. She is so independent and loves all her friends. She talks about them all the time and can't wait to go play with them. We put her in monday through friday. It makes it easier on me and she loves it.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Lolo's and how much Gracie has learned to love it. What a blessing it is.

Tortilla's

Whole Wheat Tortillas

I made 12 tortilla for probably less than 50 cents. I bought 12 at Broulims last week for $1.99 and I must say fresh ones are the best. I love my Tortilla and Flatbread Maker. It was so easy to do. Tomorrow it is Flatbread.
I had a black bean burritos for lunch using my fresh tortillas. Sooooo Goooood!
Gracie went to Lolo's today and played with her friend Carter. She loves to go to Lolo's.
I was able to go visiting teaching to Rachel. It was good to visit her again. She looks so happy. Her new hubby is a Bee Keeper. I learned so much about bees from her and where to go get cheap honey from the company her hubby works for. Tomorrow I am going to find their store.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for Visiting Teaching. I love when they come to me and I love going to my sisters. We are so blessed by the Relief Society organization.

Homemade Hamburger Buns

 Homemade Hamburger Buns

I wanted to make Hamburgers for dinner but didn't want to go to the store for buns so I used Chef Brad's recipe and made my own. They were pretty yummy.
I kept Gracie home with me today just to be sure she was okay. She seemed to be just fine so tomorrow she will go to Lolo's, She really wants to play with her friends.
I finished my laundry and got it all put away. Watered my garden. I have baby zuchinni's and cucumbers. Can't wait to pick them and eat them.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Chef Brad and all the things I have learned through the years. I love my Wonder Mixer. So glad I went to his classes and learned so much. I am blessed!

Austin and the ER

I got up this morning and got Gracie all ready to go to the ARA house with Bailee. Janna and the family (minus Austin) had left earlier. So off she went to spend the day with Nana.
I finished preparing my lesson and got my shower and went to church. It was Joseph Peterson's homecoming and he gave an really good talk. Then it was off to teach my little Sunbeams about Family Prayer. They are so cute and sweet. We had to run around a tree a couple of times and then we had to have drinks. They are so much fun.
I came home and did a whole lot of nothing the rest of the day. I did talk to Johnny about my scrapping weekend I am going to. Then I called my brother to see how he was doing and tell him about Craig. He has Lukemia. I called Kathy also but she didn't answer and didn't call me back. I'll try again tomorrow.
Janna took Austin to the ER and they gave him an IV so he wouldn't be dehydrated anymore. He felt so much better when he got home. He was actually hungry. I am so glad to see him smile.
Now it's time to go to bed and get some rest.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Austin. I am glad he is feeling better. I am grateful for doctors that can make us feel better.

Gracie and Me

Gracie

Gracie and I were all alone today while the rest of the family went to the ARA building to paint. Janna is just about ready to open the doors.
Gracie got ahold of a laundry basket and it became her baby, book reading boat. She has such an imagination.
I did laundry all day and watched this little kid. Austin has been really sick for a week and so I took him Apple Juice and told him to drink it. I hope he gets well soon.
That's been my Saturday. I also got my lesson printed out for tomorrow.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my wonderful daughter that truly cares about the people that are addicts and tries to help them. I love her for her caring heart.

Pizza Night and Dress Up

Gracie

Gracie decided to dress up with her chef hat and her Mickey Mouse dress. She is so much fun. She is always doing something that makes me laugh. And she is such a big helper. No mater what I do she wants to help.
I made Pizza dough in my Wonder Mixer. It turned out so perfect. I think I am finally getting the hang of my mixer. I had left over rotisserie chicken that I made so I made one barbecue chicken pizza, a cheese pizza and two pepperoni and olive pizza's. They were delish and it's an easy thing to make for the kids.
Grateful Statement: I am  so grateful for this little munchkin. She brings me pure joy.

Last Can of Red Wheat

 Strawberry Oat Bars

Red Wheat

Today I made this Strawberry Oat Bar recipe the was on My Fitness Pal. Boy oh howdy. It was yucky. I tried to like it and ate it for breakfast two mornings and then I put it all in the trash. Just couldn't do anymore. Threw that recipe out.
Then I went out in the garage to grind my 5 gallon bucket of mixed wheat. I used all I had ground from before. I opened and ground my very last can of Red Wheat that I had canned in 1990 in Acton. John and I canned a ton of this stuff in my garage in the middle of the high desert. It's still perfect. Now that's food storage.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my wheat that I canned. I have used it and made tons of bread through the years. Blessings abound when I do what I am suppose to.

Homemade Whole Wheat Tortillas

Tortillas

I decided to make homemade Tortillas. They are whole wheat. They look pretty bad but they were delicious. But it made me go to Bed Bath and Beyond and order the Tortilla Maker that Chef Brad had at the cooking classes I went to. It was hard rolling them out and getting them in the pan without wrinkles.
Tortilla Maker

Of course they didn't have it in stock so I ordered it and they will ship it for free. Chef Brad's was a $25 for shipping. So I saved myself some money. Wahoo... Can't wait to get my hands on it to make some tortilla and flat bread.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the ability I have to order this fun toy. I am so blessed to be able to purchase the things I want,

Poor Molly

Bailee the tormentor

Butterfly Wings

I came home from church and found my Molly being abused by Bailee and Harley. They stuck these butterfly wings on her and threw a ball to watch her run with her wings. I just need to take her to church with me so no one can turn her into a butterfly. My silly granddaughters.
Connie taught our class again because her son will be reporting from his mission and she will have a house full after church next week so I'm on my own. I just love team teaching with her. She is so good.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Harley and Bailee. I love to watch them have fun together. Family is everything and I love all my grandkids. I am blessed.

Rings Again

Connie went to Lolo's to take pictures for their website and she sent me these 5 she took of Gracie. It was so fun to see pictures that I hadn't taken. And to see her interacting with other kids. She is so cute and she loves Lolo's. What a treat to get these pictures.
Gracie went to Lolo's and I made Beans and Cornbread. Then I put all the stuff in my pantry away. Next on the agenda was canning the 25 lb bag of rice I bought at Winco.

I Love My Food Saver

Every time a use up my cans and have space for my Gallon jars I can in them. They are reusable forever. And no Oxy Packs.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all my many blessing. I am grateful for food storage and my ability to store for my family. I am blessed to have done this since I was a young mom.

Winco

Groceries

This is what my car looks like after a trip to Winco. I had to buy my paper products and check them out and put them in the car and go back in to finish the other stuff. But it is done and I am happy. Austin brought them in and Gracie helped me unload. Now to date everything and put it on the shelves in my pantry. Tommy watched Gracie for me. She was still sleeping when I left.
I made Hamburgers, Corn on the Cob and Baked Beans for dinner. It was yummy and the kids love hamburgers. So I accomplished a ton of stuff today so I feel pretty good.
Now it's time to hug my pillow.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all I have. I know that everything in my life really belongs to Heavenly Father and he allows me to have it. I am learning so much from my Scripture Study.

Gracie and Her Hair Clips

Gracie Eating Her Snack

She likes granola bars.

Gracie went to Lolo's today and had a ton of fun. I picked her up and brought her home. She always has a snack of some sort. Today it was a breakfast bar.
I got a few things done while she was gone. I made Lasagna and Chef Brad's roll recipe, except I make bread sticks out of the dough. I think I am finally getting the hang of making bread using my Wonder Mixer.
I love these hair clips that Cha Cha made for her. She has some in every color in the rainbow.
It's been a good day so now I'm going to go night night.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Tommie. She is always trying to do something good for Gracie. This little girl is truely loved.

Doing Nothing Day

I am really not sure what my problem was today but I managed to do nothing all day long. Well, there was Miss Gracie to watch over so I guess I did do something.
I did get my scripture study this morning so that counts.
I did get my bed made and Gracie's bath mess cleaned up.
I did manage to go to the store for bread and grapes.
So I guess in the long run I was a little busy.
But, I did spend an ample amount of time putting together puzzles and playing Soduko on my Ipad.
All in all it was a relaxing day that I think I must have needed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Scriptures. I am learning so much as I study the Old Testament. And Isaiah is really not so hard to understand. I just have to read with a purpose. I am blessed to have these wonderful books to study.

Bread Pudding For The First Time

Good Old Bread Pudding

I kept Gracie home to make sure she is feeling good before she goes back to Lolo's. She was so sweet until this afternoon when she seemed to have a melt down. After about 3 times in time out she decided to be nice. She even said she was sorry that she was ornery. How cute is that.
I had some homemade bread left over that had fallen apart so I decided to make Bread Pudding. I have never in all my life made any. Tommy and I liked it. Gracie liked the frosting (Cool Whip) on top. It was super easy and very good. Now I know how to make it.
I made Meatballs and Rice for dinner and did all the dishes. Watched some television and now it's time for bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I love to cook. It would be such a chore around here if I didn't. I am blessed to be able to serve others everyday.

Connie

Connie and Our Class

I hung out all morning and then went to church. Connie taught our class and I was the helper. It's so wonderful to have a partner that is so on the ball. She is such an excellent teacher. Relief Society was 5 minutes late getting out and if their mom is in there we have to wait with them. I may have to say something to the Presidency. I will try to refrain...
It was a beautiful Sabbath and as usual I always feel better when I go to church.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for these little Sunbeams I get to teach. They are sweet and funny and a total delight. I am so blessed with this calling.

Dutch Oven Cooking

Dutch Oven

Chicken I made in said Dutch Oven.

Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes to go with said chicken.

I did it! I went to the store and bought a bag of briquets so I could do Dutch Oven.  I figured out how to make chicken in my dutch oven. I learned a ton and can't wait to try more recipes. But it was a lot of work and hot, hot, hot.
Gracie went between our houses all day. Harley and I kept track of her. Janna was cleaning and working on the new building she leased and is going to buy.
It was a really good day and lots of fun. Peaceful...
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the gospel in my life. I have been reading the Isaiah in the Old Testament. It brings up so many questions of what will happen in the end. I love to learn about what God and Jesus want to teach me.

Family Pics

While watching Gracie sleep I made these pages for my wall. Tommy didn't have any pictures up on the walls so I rounded up the few pictures that I had of his family and I will have them printed for the wall in my living room. Now he is a happy man. I just wish I had more to choose from but it is what it is.
I hope Gracie starts to feel better soon. It's hard to see her sick. She coughs so much.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all these wonderful people that I got to know from Tommy's side of the family. They are truly special people and such a blessing.

Doctor's Visit for Gracie AGAIN

 Cute as a button

Sickie

Gracie was sick all day. She had a fever and cough still. So I met Janna at Community Care and had them look at her again. They were amazed that the PA hadn't prescribed any meds for her yesterday. She now has antibiotics to make her feel better.
I don't remember what I did today, probably because it was taking care of this little sickie all day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Doctors that can make my little Gracie better. What a blessing to live when I do and have them so available.

Going to the Doctor

Harley and Gracie Reading a Book

I took Gracie to the doctor this morning. It took 2 hours to get her looked at. The PA said to get Benadryl and give it to her. I told her she had a fever but she didn't have one now so she didn't take it seriously. She has such a cough she throws up coughing.
I just hope she starts getting better soon. I am getting a little run down from the constant care. But I love her to pieces so it's all right.
I went over to check on her and she was laying on the couch with Harley reading a book. Harley is so good with her and Gracie loves her so much.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Harley and her willingness to help me with Gracie. She is such a blessing in my life.

4th Of July

 Gracie

 Harley

Austin

Janna took Tommy and I and the kids to the building she is leasing for a Rehab Center. It is awesome and huge. She is going to move her office over there. There is room for over 50 people to have somewhere to go. As of now there is no where in Idaho Falls for people to find shelter and help. So this is what she is starting.
Then Harley and Austin did fireworks for Gracie. She had fun, but not as much fun as these two. They are so cute together.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Austie boy. He is so sweet and tells me he loves me at least once everyday. I am blessed.

Beautiful Sabbath

Tommie, Megan, Grady and Heather left to go home this morning. It was fun to have them here. I especially loved getting to know Grady. He is just adorable.
I went to church and taught my class. It was a fun lesson on Brother and Sisters. I have the cutest class of Sunbeams ever. I came home and vegetated the rest of the night. I am tired from company.
Grateful Statement: I am always so grateful for Sunday so I can go to church. I am blessed to have a ward just 10 minutes away. Blessing abound.

 Gracie and her Presents

 Taking a Bath with Grady

Her New Bike

We barbecued hamburgers for Gracie's party. Heather and Megan put sparklers on her cake. She loved them. Then we all hung out except Bailee who was with her friends. We ate dinner, ate cake and open presents.
Then she had to take a bath with Grady. She loves her cousin.
Austin put her new bike together that Harley had got her so she could try it out.
It was a wonderful birthday for this fun little girl.
Grateful Statement: I have to be grateful for this little three year old that is potty trained and gets easier each day to take care of. She is a blessing in our live and brings such joy to our family.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
