Do Nothing Day

My Homemade Soap

Gracie and I just hung out today. We watched "My Little Pony" and I made soap while Gracie rode her bike around the garage. I made some soup for Tommy and I for lunch and Tacos for dinner.
I am really tired, probably from the trip. But my legs are finally better from Dean's stairs.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Savior. He did so much for me and made it possible for me to be worthy to go to the Temple. What a blessing.

Going Home

Gracie Going Home

I went and picked up Gracie from ChaCha's and off we went home. She was a pretty good traveler even though she threw up. She is so careful that she throws up in her hands. It saves it going everywhere. We were in a snow storm all the way thru Salt Lake. It finally ended when we got to Tremonton.
We went to McDonald and let her play in the play area. Then it was off for home.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this little one I get to take care of. She is a true blessing in my life.

Hannah's Talk

 Tanner, Me and Dean

Hailey, Hannah and Tanner

I got up at 6am this morning to get my shower before everyone was up and needing the bathroom. Tommie and I went to church early to save seats for everyone. It was good to see all my friends and get many wonderful hugs.
Hannah gave a wonderful talk. The thing that touch my heart was when she said the if we don't work on and share our testimony we start to lose it. I think that statement was meant for me.
Amie made Enchiladas for dinner. They were awesome. She truly is a good cook.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful to meet Tanner. He is awesome and to hear Hannah talk about her mission. What a blessing it is to me to belong to this family. I am blessed!

Going To Hannah's Homecoming Talk

Gracie Is Ready

Miles of Hemming

We got up and got ready to go to Utah. It was an easy drive. We dropped Gracie off at Cha Cha's house so she could spend the weekend with her mom and Cha Cha. She was so excited to see them.
Then it was up the hill to Dean's. Hannah had bought a dress that was way too long so she asked me if I would hem it for her. It was my pleasure to do this for her. There was a ton of fabric but I finally got it done.
Tommie called to let me know I had taken the car seat so I took it down to her so she could go to the store with Gracie.
We had Papa Murphy's Pizza for dinner and Amie finished preparing food for Sunday. She had a breakfast casserole, cinnamon rolls and fruit with a yummy dip.
Then it was off to bed. Tommy and I were very tired.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my family, especially Hannah and her willingness to serve a Mission. I am blessed.

Gracie and Papa

 Gracie and Papa

 Our little bike rider!

Love her smile.

Tommy cleaned out the garage today and Gracie went out and rode her bike around the garage. She had so much fun with her Papa. He moved the car out so she would have room to ride. And the garage looks so good. It was pretty messy from the Goat being out their.
I made a Chicken Parmesan Pasta Skillet meal for dinner. It was so easy because you cook the pasta in the skillet so it's only one pan. And it was really good.
Now it's time for bed. I am really tired.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Tommy. He is such a hard worker. I am blessed with all the things he does for me.

Visiting Teachers and Home Teachers

Andrea and Jessica

I took Gracie to Lolo's this morning and came home hung out until about 12 and laid down for a nap. I was so sleepy that I couldn't keep my eyes open. After I got up I went and picked up Gracie. She is always so glad to see me.
Then I made Mac N Cheese with "Lil Smokies". It was good. I know that because there wasn't any left at the end of the night.
My visiting teachers came at 6:30 and my home teacher came at 7:15. I love having them come. Brother Olson brings his cute little daughter Chaelo to play with Gracie. Gracie is always so excited to have Chaelo to play with.
Now it's time to take my head cold to bed. I am tired.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for these two ladies that take time out of their busy lives to visit me. What a blessing visiting teaching is.

Heart Attacked by the Youth

 Heart Attacked

Cookies Came Too

Today I made Potato Soup for dinner and toasted some sour dough bread I had made a few days ago. It was pretty dang good. I really love Potato Soup and so does Gracie. She ate two bowls of it.
Then tonight my doorbell rang and there was hearts all over my door and a plate of cookies on the porch. What a sweet thing to have done to you. I am pretty sure it's the young women. It made my day special!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the young women's program in the church. What awesome youth we have in our ward. I am blessed to be Heart Attacked by them. Blessing abound!!

Head Cold, Ugh

 Tons of Room

Handy Little Side Door

I have a head cold that is making my face hurt. But thank goodness for cold meds. By mid morning I was feeling better. I organized my new fridge and found places for everything. I feel like it belongs now. I am still amazed that my daughter would do this.
Gracie stayed home from Lolo's today because I just didn't have the energy to take her. We had a good time. She is quite the little talker.
I made Chicken Bundles for dinner and cooked them a tad too long. Thank goodness for White Sauce that made them taste better. I was busy on the phone with Ruth trying to put Pinterest recipes on our Cook'n program and lost track of time.
I also made brown rice that I canned in 2009 in my pressure cooker. It was so good. It is my new favorite recipe. The first batch I make from the recipe in my cookbook that came with the pressure cooker was terrible. There was a ton of water on top of the rice when I opened up the lid. So I gave it to the chickens and tried a new recipe. It was perfect. So when someone tells me Brown Rice won't store I will beg to differ with them.
Grateful Statement: I must say that today I am grateful for my family. I love them all so much. I am especially grateful today for my brother Johnnie. He is having a really hard time walking. He is still cheerful. I am blessed by his example to me.

Teaching My Sunbeams

My Fridge

Today Gracie and I went to church and I taught the lesson on Day and Night. It was a little hard today. The kids seemed a little out of sorts and I have a head cold so I'm not sure what made it hard, the kids or my cold. But we got it done.
I came home and waited for the delivery of my fridge. They finally delivered it around 3:30. Now to figure out where everything should go.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my little sunbeams and for Connie. It is such a blessing to watch these 3 yr olds learn to sit and listen. I am blessed.

Shopping For A Fridge

My New Rug

Browning's Honey

Tommy and I went to Home Depot to pick out a new fridge. Janna is taking hers to the Grace House and mine is going to her house and I get a new one. Now isn't that the sweetest daughter. She also bought me a rug for my front room. I told her she spoiled me and she said you deserve it because you cook. It's good to be appreciated for something you really like to do most of the time.
Tommy and I went to Brownings Honey and I got some clover honey. It was pretty cheap. It's my new supplier for honey. I have been trying to find their place forever and we finally found it.
Thanks to Rachel who I visit teach (her husband is a bee keeper for Brownings) I found the perfect place and learned so many things that I didn't know before.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my new source for my honey to store. Heavenly Father always provides for me. That's how I know being prepared is so important. Blessings Abound!!

Sunbeams

New Sunbeam Class

I had to take a picture of these cute little Sunbeams. Notice the little guy on the floor. He does things his way no matter what. That includes eating crayons. They are so cute. If all 15 ever show up Connie and I are in trouble. We do love these little ones. Sometimes we just have to throw out the lesson and play it by ear and sometimes they really pay attention. We never know what it is going to be.
That would be Gracie looking at Alice with her back to the camera. She loves being a Sunbeam.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that Heavenly Father would trust me to teach his little ones. I know this calling is from him and I am grateful for it.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
