Garden Boxes Ready

 Boxes

More Boxes

Today was a good day. I worked on my garden boxes this morning and Tommy and I got them all prepared. I went to smartgardens.com and created my boxes and put the plants in I wanted. Each week it tells me what to do. How cool is that. So this week I had to plant my green onions, radishes, snow peas and carrots. So I could check them off my to do list.
Tommy and I went to Scotty's and the nursery in town and got the seeds to plant. I am so grateful this job is done.
Austin and I went driving today for 30 minutes. He drove all over and parked in a convenience store. A little crooked but he did it and it is a busy, busy store. He is an excellent driver.
I made the last roast and steaks from our cow and shredded it for Tacos. It was delish. Now it's time to relax.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my garden. What a wonderful hubby I have that will help me get it ready for planting. I am blessed....

Watching Gracie

Changing Tires

Today I watched Gracie and made this page. I discovered a new recipe for Chicken in a Blanket. I use my canned chicken and make a gravy to go over them. So very good.
I watched American Idol and relaxed.
What an exciting day. Very peaceful!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all my many blessing. I marvel every day how much I am blessed and how much I am loved by my Heavenly Father and His Son.

Yard Work

Dinner and a Movie

Sisters

Tommy and I started getting our garden boxes ready for planting. I can't wait to plant tomatoes with the new instructions from Shatzi. She puts a dozen egg shell crushed in the bottom of the hole and plants her tomato plant half way down covering the bottom leaves. She gets huge tomatoes. So I am going to try it. My garden just gets better and better.
I made Salmon Patties, Baked Potatoes and Cole Slaw for dinner. Yummy.
Watched a little TV and made these two pages throughout the day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for being able to have a garden and a hubby to help me with it. He is so good to me. Today he washed our sheets and made the bed. Did my dishes after dinner. Helped me with my garden boxes and kept an eye on Gracie. I am so blessed to be married to this wonderful man.

Sandbox for Gracie

 Hunting

Papa built Gracie a Sand Box.

Gracie spent the afternoon playing in her sandbox that Papa built her. She played outside all afternoon. She just loves to be outside.
I finished this page as I was cooking dinner and watching TV. I was a little tired today but kept on going anyway. I think old age is catching up with me. I wish I had the strength and energy of my younger days.
Janna had a meeting with the Commissioner today to plead her case for her horses. They want her to have less and she is trying to keep her Horse Boarding business. She didn't think it did any good but bless her heart for trying. How can they approve a 9 stall barn and then not let her fill it. Oh well, on to the next problem in her life.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Tommy who would go out in the barn and make this cute sandbox for Gracie. He is such a good hubby to me. Anything I suggest he tries to do it. I am blessed.

Another Beautiful Sabbath

 Goatie

Scrapping

Today was Stake Conference and I didn't go once again. I studied my scriptures for a long time and then I worked on these pages. I am beginning to really enjoy studying the Old Testament. I am going to read the Book of Mormon at night and study the Old Testament in the morning. That way I can still read the Book of Mormon and the Old Testamemt.
I had a most peaceful day. I felt good about what I accomplished with my Scripture study. It really made me feel at peace. Probably because I was doing what I was supposed to.
I made Mexican Rice to go with our Tacos for dinner. I doubled the recipe and not one morsel of rice was left over.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to scrapbook. I love making these pages. What a blessing to be able to fill my spare time making pages from my pictures.

Selfie Stick??

 Bailee and Her Stick

Taking a Selfie

Bailee got her Selfie Stick in the mail today. Who ever heard of a Selfie Stick. What will they think of next. She spent the evening taking Selfies. I must admit they do work.
Janna, Austin and I went to Walmart this morning and got Gracie some new summer clothes. Heather was working so we just went and did it. Austin got some new pants. He is growing so tall that his old ones didn't fit.
I don't know what I accomplished today. Some days are a blur. But I know for sure I had a happy good time.
Grateful Statement:  I am so grateful for the on line Scriptures. As I study I just learn more and more. I wish I would have done this years ago. But my Ipad makes it so easy to study the manual along with the scriptures. I am blessed....

Presidency Meeting

 Gitty Up

Cuteness

Today I cleaned house and had my presidency meeting. Peggy couldn't be there but being the fabulous secretary she is she sent the agenda with Crystal. Agenda's are the secret of an organized meeting for me. It keeps me from getting off course.
After the meeting Janna took Gracie riding on Red. What a gentle wonderful horse.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my daughter and the caring and giving person she is. I truly have the best kids in the world. I am blessed beyond measure.

Church in a Golf Cart

Hayden and I

My cute grandsons!

I went to church this morning with Hayden in the golf cart and he brought me home in it also. Fun times. Church was wonderful. There was Harrison sitting at the Sacrament Table. When did he become old enough to be a Priest. I loved seeing all my old friends. I got so many wonderful hugs. It always makes me feel like I have come home.
After church Dean make BLT's for us and I did the dishes and took a nap. I love Sunday afternoon naps. Just seems like I always want to take one anymore.
Amie made Cafe Rio for dinner and Hannah came over to have dinner and study for her finals. She will be done with school next week. And I of course, got my famous Hannah Hug...
Grateful Statement: I am so very grateful for the Gospel in my life. I am grateful that no matter where I go to church it is always the same and I come away with something new each time. What a marvelous blessing the Gospel is...

Harrison's Prom

Harrison and Chloe

Handsome Harrison

Harrison is off to the prom. I can't believe he is old enough. What a handsome man he is. I am so glad I was here to see him go with his date.

 Gizmo

Bored
Bailee

I got up and started scrapping in my pajamas. Then I got a shower so I could see John when he came. I gave him a hug and then he left with Dean, Tommy and Harrison to put up some signs and then go golfing.
So I was back to scrapping with a little trip for some treats because everyone knows you can't scrap without treats.  Amie made pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. They were yummy!
I am tired from sitting all day so I'm going to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Harrison. He is so grown up. I am so blessed with my wonderful family.

Going To Utah

 Hannah opening her letter!

 Proud parents of this kid!

And of course, the proud grandparents!

We are going to Utah today to see Hannah open her Missionary Letter. Where Oh Where is she going. Tonight I will find out. Now it's on to packing so we can leave.
We arrived at Dean's about 4pm and I talked with Amie. It was so good to see them again. We waited awhile on Hannah to come but she was there by 7pm and it was time. Lots of her friends and family came to watch and Hailey got to listen in through FaceTime.
Hannah is going to Peru.  Is it a coincidence that Dean and Amie are taking all the kids to Peru as soon as Hailey gets home from her mission. I don't think so.
It was wonderful and I got the very best hugs from this cute granddaughter of mine.
Grateful Statement: My heart is overflowing with gratitude for a Heavenly Father that would let me be a part of Hannah Mission Call. I am so blessed.

Computer Is Back

Happy Birthday Harley

Today I finished my laundry and made this page. I got my computer back from the Computer Shop and I can connect to the internet. I can also post on my blog. I am so glad it is fixed. I guess I had a Trojan virus that slowed it way down and wouldn't let me connect to the internet. So I'm all ready to go to Utah tomorrow and scrap. Can't wait to see where Hannah is going.
I finished my vising teaching today. I visited Pam at 6pm. Tamara had a soccer game so she couldn't go so I went by myself to finish it off. I am done for April,
I called the Bishop tonight and we talked about callings and the people on our rolls that we have no idea who they are.
Tommy barbecued hamburgers for us. They were so delish, or maybe I was really hungry. I love that hubby of mine. I had a big headache all day so he saved my bacon. I think I might have a sinus infection. We shall see.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Tommy. He is always so ready to help me with whatever I need done. He changes our sheets, vacuums my floors and does tons of dishes. I am blessed to have this man in my life.

Running Around

I went Visiting Teaching with Crystal because her new partner couldn't come with her. I got to visit Evelyn again. She is a sweet young mom and I am hoping one day she will decide to come back to church.
Then it was off to the high school to pick up Austin to go to the dentist. He drove me cause he really likes to drive. I made him go to Broulim's with me to pick up a few things and get my medicine. He really is a good driver.
Did laundry and made a Taco Casserole for dinner.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful today for Austin and how sweet he is to me. He is such a good kid and I love him to pieces. I am so blessed with the family I have.

Visiting Teaching

Dean called and said that Hannah would be getting her mission call Thursday, Friday or Saturday so Tommy and I are headed to Utah on Thursday. Can't wait to see where she is going.
My laptop has been giving me fits so I took it to the Computer Shop in Rigby. Hopefully he can fix it by Thursday. I have to have my computer when I am away from home. So I have my fingers crossed.
I have a new partner to go visiting teaching with. She doesn't really go much so I hope to change that and help her get a vision of what visiting teaching can do for her and the sisters we teach. Wish me luck. The wind came up and it was like a gale. Then it started to snow.
One of the sisters we teach is from the Philippines. She is so sweet. When we got ready to leave she went in her kitchen and brought us a plate of food. It was so good. I need to get the recipe from her.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for visiting teaching. I love to get to know the sisters by visiting them. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he created Relief Society.

Apple Cobbler

Apple Cobbler

Years ago Amie showed me how to can Apple Pie Filling. I love having it on my shelf for making one of my favorite desserts. I love to add raisins and walnuts to my Apple Cobbler. Tommy ate one and his blood sugar level went up to 154 so he's not eating these very often. Too bad for him...
I made Lori's bread because we were out of bread. It is so nice to have bread in an hour.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Amie. I am so blessed that she has been part of our family all these years. She is kind and thoughtful and best of all she welcomes me with open arms whenever I need to stay at Hotel Ingram. I am so blessed...

Beautiful Sabbath

I went to church early as we had Ward Council. Hardly anyone came so we had lots of time to go over the sisters that are on my rolls that we don't know who they are or if they are really in the ward. Bailee came to sit with me. She is so cute. I just love her.
They blessed the Barzee baby and as I looked over when they were done, here is Brittany taking a picture of her dad holding up the baby. How funny is that. I don't think she knows we aren't supposed to take pictures in the Chapel. But bless her heart she was a proud mommy.
Then it was on to Sunday School Class and Relief Society. It was a very good day. I just have a little problem with the Bishopric always rejecting the names we submit. So I am just going to let them pick someone and give them to me. And I truly know the Bishop does have the inspiration as to who should hold callings so I'm embracing that so I don't get all mad. See I can learn from things.
I came home from church and made the Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes that I was supposed to make yesterday. It was very good although I guess Janna and Bailee really prefer my baked breaded chicken so that's easier for me anyway and more healthy. It just really reminded me of my mom. She always made me Fried Chicken.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Mom I had. She was so very loving and good to me. I miss her every single day.

Saturday

Surgery Page

I pretty much did a big fat nothing today. I did manage to finish this page so I guess I did something.
Crystal and I went to the Cannery but we were the only ones to show up. I got some Oats and Sugar so it really wasn't a wasted trip.
I tried to make Fried Chicken and Mashed potatoes but the chicken wouldn't thaw out fast enough so Austin drove me to Los Albertos to pick up Mexican food for us. That was SO fine with me.
We are trying to get his 50 hours in. We will make it for sure.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the Old Testament. I am studying it with the Institute Manual and it really help me to make sense of it. I am learning so much. Blessing, blessing, blessing!

Canning

 Chicken ready for the canner.

Last can of beans stored in 1990.

Beans and Chicken ready to put on the shelf.

I decided to can some stuff today. It's always an all day process but I love the end result. This is the first time I have canned White Beans so it was a test run. When I opened the can of dry beans they looked like they were canned yesterday. It worked out perfect. Now I can make White Chicken Chile by just dumping stuff in my crockpot and adding sauted chicken. Yummy!
It felt good to get this done. Something accomplished!!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the ability I have to can for my family. It's so rewarding to do this. I am so blessed to have grown up helping my Grandma can. I truly makes me happy thinking of her.

Winco Again

I went to Winco today and did my shopping. What a job to bag it all and get it into my car, drive home and get it into the house and them put it all way. But the job is done and I had help from Bailee and Grandpa.
Now to date my pantry stuff and put it away.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my many blessing. I am grateful that I have the means to go grocery shopping. I am blessed...

Another Lazy Day

Scrapping

Today was such a lazy day. I just wasn't feeling up to par so I sat in my chair most of the day. I did make dinner for the family and do some laundry so that was a small accomplishment. Tomorrow I am going to wake up with energy and feeling good.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all the scrapping weekends I have been able to attend all these years. Good friends were made and many pages done. I am blessed.

Heather is Going to Utah

Going to Utah

Heather and Gracie left this morning to go to Utah so they will be there when Megan has her baby. She is due tomorrow so hopefully she will have it before Heather has to come back to work. We are going to miss our little Gracie.

Mollie

I finished this page this morning so I'm on a roll. Today I ran around and delivered Visiting Teaching changes. Now it on to getting prepared for my presidency meeting.
Had our presidency meeting and all went well. Time to settle down in my chair and vegetate.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Mollie. She is such a good dog. I am glad Heavenly Father created animals. I am blessed to own this doggie.

Easter Sunday

 Easter Basket

Finding Eggs with Aunt Nana

We had so much fun watching Gracie hunt her Easter Eggs. She loved every minute of it. And Janna loved hiding them for her. At first we tried to get her to put them in the bucket softly but then we gave up and let her throw them in so she could go look for more.
I watched conference and we had a barbecue with Ron and the family. I love that Janna always includes him in all holidays and he always comes.
I wasn't feeling very well so I fell asleep through the last session of Conference. I am so glad that they are recorded so I can go back and watch them as many times as I want.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all I have. I will "Find joy in the journey" as I was counceled by Rosemary M Wixom. I need to remember this each and every day.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Gracie is ready to color eggs.

Bailee is helping her.

I boiled eggs this morning so Bailee and Gracie could color them. What a cute little face. They had lots of fun and made really pretty eggs.
Janna and I went to Sam's Club and bought a bunch of stuff. It was fun shopping with my cute daughter even if it was at a big box warehouse. We bought paper products and water and a bunch of other stuff.
Came home and watch the second session of Conference and made Tacos for dinner.
I loved the talk by Dale G. Renlund.
If we don't try we are Latter-day Sinners
If we don't persevere we are Latter-day Quitters
If we don't allow others to try we are Latter-day Hypocrites.
It was a wonderful day!!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the General Authorities that give us direction and things to think about. What a blessing that is.

1st Page of 2013

Many Faces of Gracie

Today I started scrapping pictures from 2013. I am going to scrap my heart out and get this year done.
I made 6 pizza's for dinner tonight, Now we have leftovers for tomorrow. We usually eat every piece. Heather helped me put them together and Janna did my dishes. My family takes such good care of me.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my ability to scrap all these memories. I get to relieve it all over again when I scrap it. I am so blessed to be able to do this.

Temple Day

Today I went to the Temple with Sue. She picked me up and off we went. What a wonderful day. I always feels good when I attend the Temple. And to go with a good friend is just a plus.
I came home and Baked Zita so it would be easy for me to serve dinner. I baked some more Artisan Bread. So yummy!!
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the knowledge I learn at the Temple. I am grateful for Jesus Christ and what he has done for me. I am blessed!!

Happy Birthday Harrison

Harrison Thomas Ingram

Today is this handsome boy's birthday. He is 16 and I can't figure out where all the years went. He is the best. Always polite and kind to his grandma. He is really growing up fast.

 Christmas Morning

I watched Gracie today and made this page. She was so good all day and helped me put on a pot of beans and make Corn Bread. She dumps all the stuff in for me and counts the teaspoons and cups. My little helper.
Janna had to tow Heather's car home tonight. I guess her alternator went out. It never ends around here.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I have this wonderful grandson of mine. I am so blessed with my wonderful grandkids. I am blessed and blessed and blessed!
