Home at Last and On To Austin's Baseball Game

Austin

Ruth took me to the airport this morning. We were supposed to be at the airport by 11:30 but we left Ethel's at 11:30 so by the time we meandered our way to the Airport it was almost noon. I had to rush to catch my flight before they closed it down. I was also overweight with my luggage (dang those new skirts and shirts) so it cost me $50 for the pleasure but by that time I didn't care.
The plane was packed but I played on my ipod and the time went by fast. Of course, I was at the back of the plane so it took me forever to get off. Janna and Harley were waiting for me and Tommy was car sitting in front. We got my luggage and off we went. It was good to be home. Molly missed me!!
After resting for a minute Janna and I took Austin to his baseball game. He really has fun playing ball. It was a double header so we didn't get home until about 9pm. What a temperature change for Hot Hot Hot to Cold Cold Cold.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my family. I am blessed to be surrounded by people who love me. I am blessed.

Mexican Dinner

Ruth and her Collage

We finished cropping the pictures for the Collage Ruth is making. It turned out so cute.
Next on our list of accomplishments was making the Key Lime Pie that Ashley made for us. We are going to eat it for dessert after we go out to dinner with Judy (Ethel's Sister in Law), Ruth, Prescilla and Ethel. We are going to a Mexican restaurant to eat some Mexican Food. Then home for Key Lime Pie. We worked some more on Ruth's pictures getting them organized. Now we are so tired it's bed time.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my talents. I am grateful that Heavenly Father gave them to me. I am blessed beyond measure.

Going Back to the Valley

 Johnnie my wonderful brother.

The only close family I have left...

 Ethel and her magnets.

 Ruth

 Prescilla

My sweet Aunt Marie
Johnnie brought me up to the Hospital so I could meet Ethel and see Aunt Marie before going back to the Valley. Aunt Marie was very tired and not doing well at all. After we visited for awhile we headed back down to Ethel's.
Ruth and I went to the store and got the stuff to make salsa with. So very good. I now have Ruth's recipe for fresh salsa. My son John will love this when I make it for him.

Ruth's Fresh Salsa

We are very tired. I have been helping Ruth with Genealogy and organizing her pictures on her external drive. She is getting it down.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful family I am part of. I am blessed to have the best cousins on the planet.

Listening to Julene's Relief Society Lesson

Went to Church with Johnnie and Phyllis and listen to a man talk about inactive members and how we should love them. I thought of my Tommy and what a good man he is, even if he doesn't go to church.
Then for Relief Society Julene taught the lesson on Obedience. It was so good. She just made me think about if I am obedient about all the things I need to. It was good to see her and talk with her. She is a sweetheart.
We came home and had a roast beef dinner that Johnnie had made. It was very good. Then we watched the Funeral broadcast for Sister Monson. What a remarkable woman she was. Such good talks. President Monson looked so sad. It made me cry.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for our Prophet. What a wonderful man. My hearts breaks for him but I am so glad for Sister Monson. She is done with the test.

Going Up North

Ethel, Ruth and I got up this morning and went to Show Low to see Johnnie and Phyllis and my sweet Aunt Marie. We had a good time talking and laughing all the way up the mountain. We went straight to the hospital to see Aunt Marie. She wasn't doing very well.
Johnnie and Phyllis came to the hospital to pick me up. I saw Kenny for two seconds and then Johnnie took me to his house. We stopped by the Cemetery in Snowflake and Johnnie put flowers on Grandpa Keith and Granny Keith's grave. I hadn't seen these graves in a long time. I wish I had taken pictures.
We went out to dinner at a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Taylor and then to Johnnie's to relax. We talked and talked and then we all went to bed to sleep. So very tired.
Grateful Statement: I am so glad that I have such a wonderful older brother. He has been such a blessing in my life. I love that we have the same beliefs. I am blessed.

Sunday Dinner

 What a crowd!

Enjoying all my cousins.
Ethel and I went to Sacrament Meeting today. We came home early because Aunt Marie was having a hard time breathing. We wanted to keep updated on her condition.
We put a roast in Ethel's new pressure cooker/slow cooker she got at a kitchen store we went to yesterday. We also made ribs in it. So very yummy
Ruth cut my hair and then we shopped at this wonderful store. I got nothing. Will power prevailed.
Pete and Robert with kids in tow came to dinner. We had a fun time laughing and laughing and laughing.
Grateful Statement: I am so very grateful for my heritage. I am grateful for the love that we felt growing up together. I am so blessed.

My Grandson Harrison at the Temple

Harrison at the Provo Temple

Dean sent me this picture of Harrison holding the blue cards he did baptisms for in front of the Temple. How sweet is that. Now I know for sure what I am finding all these names for.
Ethel and I went to Ruth's work and she cut my hair. We shopped at Shar's Kitchen store, Smart and Final and Walmart. I bought nothing. I wanted a lemon squeezer at Shar's but it was $20 so I just couldn't buy it for that much money.

Freezer Jam

After all that shopping we had to make Freezer Jam. It was the first time I had ever made it. I cook mine so it was new territory for me. It turned out wonderful and now Ethel has some to keep her going.
Now I am tired and going to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my testimony of the Gospel. It keeps me grounded and helps me appreciate all I have. I am blessed...

Kids, Kids and More Kids

Ethel being Grandma to her Day Care Kids.

All lined up for lunch.

Got up this morning and made pancakes for tons of little kids. They start coming early around this house. It is a little chaotic here when they all show up.
I worked on Ruth's genealogy today and played games and held babies. What a day. I truly don't know how Ethel does it.
Ruth came over tonight and brought Enchiladas for us. Yummy. We went to Wal Mart and got lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream for them.
Now I'm tired and going to bed. Good night all.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my cousins. I just can't say it enough. I am blessed.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

I got up and got ready. Finished packing everything in one suitcase. Now that was a task, but it is done. I never knew I could stuff so much into one spot. My only carry on is my purse which is also packed in every square inch. Last time I took my laptop in my bag and it cost me $35 for it. Not making that mistake again.
I boiled 18 eggs for Tommy so he can have egg salad sandwiches. What a job getting rid of all these eggs. Time to sell them again.
Arrived safe and sound. I was sandwiched between two young men that were going home for weddings. Both went to BYU Idaho. They were very sweet and kind to me.
Ethel picked me up from the airport and we went to Panda Express for Chinese Food. Ruth came over after she got off work and we talked until midnight.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my wonderful cousins. How blessed I am to have had them in my life. All those memories we share.

Laundry and Packing

Sunday was an excellent day. We gave the book "Beautiful" by Jenny Phillips to all the moms that were there and we are going to hand deliver to the ones who weren't.
Monday I walked with Ila. It's good to have friends to walk with. Then I worked on Relief Society and got reports printed out. Crystal and I divided up the books to take and I got all of mine delivered with the help of Austin. He is always so willing to help his grandma.
Tuesday I walked again, came home and had Tommy help me scrub, scrub, scrub my floors. With the two of us doing them it takes no time at all.
Had my presidency meeting and got all the loose ends tied up. Figured out some calling and went over the needs of our sisters. Picked Bailee up from Drivers Ed and came home and vegetated all night.
Now I am all caught up. I just wish I would do this every night. But at least I'm sort of consistent.
Today I am doing my laundry and packing my clothes so I will be all ready for tomorrow when I fly to Mesa. Can't wait to see all my fabulous cousins.
Balanced Harley's, Janna's and my checkbook. My true calling is as a bookkeeper. I love doing this.
I planted my garden so things will be coming up when I get back. Now I am tired and going to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all I have. Each and every day I am thankful for all the blessing I have. Too many to count.

A Day on The Farm

 Janna planted Petunia's for me.

 More plantings.

 Checking out the babies.

Bailee's bunny living in the hay barn.

 Harley's baby goaties, so cute.

 Janna catching horses.

 Success, all four loaded up.

They love there new summer home.

Janna and Harley checking the gates.

These horses will have the life in this pasture.

Janna and Harley going back to the truck.

Today was a good day on the farm. Austin and I got up early and went to Winco to do our grocery shopping. Came home and put it all away. What a job.
Then we went to Lowe's for some flowers and came home and Janna planted them for me. She is the best daughter.
Janna and Harley loaded up 4 of Boyd's horses and took them to a pasture for the summer in Idaho Falls. It's beautiful here now. So green.
Came home and worked on Genealogy some more and made Chocolate Chip Cookies for Janna. It was the least I could do for all the hard work she did for me.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this little farm I live on. I am blessed beyond measure.

Temple, Toes, Temple In That Order

I am a slothful blogger. My journal is being neglected. It's Dean Ingram's fault for getting me going on genealogy again. I can't stop. I need intervention.
Tuesday I went to the Temple with Colleen. She took her sister's name through for her endowment. Wonderful times.
Wednesday I went with Mary to a new place for our pedicures. They know how to do it. My feet were so soft and not one smidgen of dead skin or callous on my feet. I was in heaven.
Wednesday night Crystal and I went to the hospital to see Peggy and Russ. Russ is having a valve replacement on Thursday so we went to give Peggy a hug.
This morning I went to the Temple with Sue. I printed out a ton more cards for Dean to do. Now to send them off.
Tonight we had our additional meeting. It was on the book Beautiful by Jenny Phillips. As soon as it was over I dashed into the Book of Mormon class. I just love that class. I learn something amazing each and every week. This was the last class until the fall. BooHoo....
Now I am caught up. For how long no one knows.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Brother Black and the wonderful class he teaches. So blessed to learn so much.

Geneaolgy, I Am Doing It...

Names printed and ready to go to the Temple for the cards.

I walked this morning with Ila. We walked and talked, always a good combination.
Worked on genealogy all day long off and on, mostly on. I just can't seem to stop once I start. I found lots of spouses and families to do. I spent a long time on the phone with a missionary from family search. We tried to figure out why I couldn't submit Allula Spurgeon to be sealed to her family. He finally had to send it to Salt Lake so they could figure it out.
I just love this work. It's like being a detective and trying to find out where they lived and how many kids they had. I love the site Find A Grave that ancestry takes me to. They have recorded tons of headstones. And sometimes they have lots of extra information on it. Who they were married to and how many kids and their names. It's a gold mine.
Now I'm very tired and I'm going to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I know how to do this work. What a blessing for me to sit in my home and do this. I am blessed to have them direct me so they can have their work done.

Busy Sabbath Day

 Bailee taking my tire off.

 Bailee putting my tire on.

I met with the Stake President this morning about our Play Day. What a wonderful meeting it was. He gave me some material to read about what the scriptures say about inactivity. I loved that he was so in tune that he knew I was having a hard time with it.
Sacrament, Sunday School and Relief Society was very good. I was tired by the end of the day. Talked with the Bishop tonight about Relief Society issues. Now I am done with the phone calls and ready to relax.
Worked on genealogy some more and found more names that need done. So grateful to Dean for getting Ancestry.com. It is such a big help to track these people down.
Grandpa helped Bailee change a tire tonight for drivers ed. She did a good job. I just love this girl.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for President Poston and the uplifting words he gave me today. Heavenly Father loves me...

Temple with Colleen

Went to the Temple with Colleen and she did the intitatory for her sister. It was a good day all the way around.
Did Relief Society stuff and made an appointment with the Stake President for Sunday to see if we can have a play day for the young mothers in our ward. I am quite fiesty and told the Bishop in a very nice way that I couldn't figure out why is was any different than the men playing basketball in the morning. So bless his heart, he sent me directly to President Poston. We shall see how that goes on Sunday. I will follow the priesthood, whatever they tell me.
Made baked Parmesean Chicken, mashed potaotes and pickled cucumbers for the family. I love baked chicken. So very good.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Colleen's willingness to try to change her circumstances. She is a blessing in my life.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
