Today is John's birthday. I called him and wished him a Happy Birthday and told him Tommy and I would take him out for a steak when we come to Utah in a couple of weeks.
I made Artisan Bread to go with my Potato Soup. Gracie helped me make frosting for my cake I made. She is so cute and loves to taste everything that goes into anything we are making. It so reminds me of my kids sitting on the counter helping me make cookies. Such good memories I have.
I trained Betty to be our Compassionate Service Leader today. She is such a sweet lady.
I finished this page today. One more and I am done with 2012! Yeah me....
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the sisters in our ward that are so willing to serve in Relief Society. What a blessing they are to our ward and to me. It makes my calling a lot easier. I am blessed everyday.

Danish Whisk

My Danish Whisk

Yesterday before church we were out of bread and wanted to make French Toast for dinner so I whipped up Lori's recipe and made 4 loaves of bread. One hour was all it took. Then it was off to church and home again. Home teachers came over and visited with us. It was a good day.

Today I got my wonderful Danish Whisk in the mail. I made my Artisan Bread recipe and used it. It mixes the dough perfect. What a fun new kitchen toy.

Austin drove me into Idaho Falls this morning so we could get a new modem for the internet. He brought all his money to pay for it. How sweet is that.

New Driver

I am so glad he has his learners permit. We stopped on the way home and got a drink. 

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this kid. He is kind and loving and a teenager with all that goes with that, but I love him with all my heart. I am so blessed by my family.

I didn't do much today. I did bake some Artisan Bread from the class I took at Craftsy.com. It was pretty fun. I just wasn't feeling all that well and really had a bad attitude. I finally started feeling better this afternoon.

I worked on this page all day off and on. Another one done. Now to start another one tomorrow.

Papa loves this little girl. He put her in her swing and pushed her. How sweet is that. It really turned out to be a wonderful day even though it started out rough.

Give Thanks Page Done!

I worked on this page today in between a little house work and making dinner. I only have three more pages until the year 2012 is DONE! I hope one day to catch up.

I wanted to go over to the church and change a visiting teaching route but couldn't find any keys to get into the Clerk's Office. My secretary has one but she works. We are supposed to be able to do all these changes online very soon. I will be so glad when I don't have to go over to the church and do my changes.

I took an inactive sister her visiting teaching route today. We had a nice chat and she assured me she wasn't inactive. If you don't come to church for a couple of months I guess you are not considered inactive in her book. I had to laugh. She is very sweet and nice.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life. It helps me each day to be better. I am blessed!!

Austin's Got His Learner's Permit

Austin got his Learner's Permit today and Heather picked him up and he drove her car home. Now I get to put 50 hours with him driving every road in Rigby. My last one I hope. I did it for Harley and Bailee so Austin is the last.
Amie called me to find out where Hannah's ancestors are from. She has a meeting with the Bishop tonight. I am so excited to read her blog while she is serving her mission. I think she will be so loved by all she meets. I can just see her sweet smile melting hearts. I wonder where she will be going?

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Hannah. She just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside when I think of her. She gives the best hugs ever. Another Sister Ingram in the making. I am so blessed to be part of this family of mine.

I watched Gracie today. This is where I found her sitting on a bowl making a mess. What a kid. She is so much fun.

Heather came home from work early so I went to Winco to do my grocery shopping. It is always a big job but a necessary one. I am glad it's done.

Made spaghetti for dinner and Ruth and I booked our flights for September. I am going to fly to Mesa and Ruth is flying back with me and then she will fly home a week later. It is going to be so much fun. Can't wait to get together with all my cousins.

I watched American Idol, cleaned up my kitchen and now it's time for bed.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the ability I have to go see my cousins every year. It is such a blessing to have cousins that you grew up with in your life. I am so blessed.

Chocolate Birthday Cake

I came home for Green Canyon and made this cake for Austin. He loves this cake. Then we went to Los Albertos in Idaho Falls to meet Ron and have dinner. It was really fun to celebrate with Austin. His friend Spencer came to add to the party.

Then we went home and Austin cut his cake and got all his birthday money. He loved it all.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this grandson of mine. He is kind and caring and loves his grandma. I am blessed!

I followed the Smith's to Green Canyon today so I wouldn't get lost like last year. Aarin and I put out our Sloppy Joes crockpots and chips and everyone brought salads and desserts. I brought all the paper goods form the closet at the church so we wouldn't run out.
The kids loved the swimming part of it. It was a lot of fun and not too much work for the Relief Society to put it on. Now it's on to Austin's Birthday.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Ward Family. It is so good to know these awesome people and be able to hang out with them. I am so blessed to belong to the Rigby 16th Ward.

I am watching Gracie today and I couldn't figure out how I was going to get my Visiting Teaching done. She has a cough and snotty nose. So I put her down for a nap just before I had to leave and prayed that she would sleep until I got back. I told Tommy if she woke up and was too cranky to call me. When I got home about an hour and a half later she was still conked out.
I made cookies that Gracie had to eat for her snack. Chocolate Chips are messy.
She put her jacket on upside down and her shoe on the wrong foot and looked at me and said, "Outside". She is one cute kid.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the power of prayer. I love when my prayers are answered just when I need help the most.

Presidency Meeting

I straightened up my house today to get ready for my Presidency Meeting. We had to plan the Green Canyon Ward Activity that is happening on Saturday. We are making Sloppy Joe"s and chips and sides. It should be easy. We did the same thing last year and it worked out perfect. We'll see how it goes this year.

That has been my day and I am very tired so I'm going to bed early.

Visiting Teaching

Today I got up and got dressed and went to Broulims with Gracie. We went to the church after we were done to make the visiting teaching changes. It took me awhile and Gracie fell asleep on my lap. But I got the changes made. I just have a couple more things to figure out and they will be ready for April.
I made White Chicken Chile for dinner. It was pretty yummy. Everyone ate it and liked it.
Heather went to Utah on Friday after work and should be back this evening.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for visiting teachings. It is such an inspired plan. How else would we be able to care for each other.

Busy Sunday

I seem to have skipped right over Friday and Saturday. Today I went to church early for Ward Council Meeting and then Bailee and Austin came with Gracie. She was very good. She still had a cough so they took her home. I didn't think the nursery was a good idea.
After church I took a nap. I was tired...

Kathy and I started some spouts a few days ago and they were finally ready today. They are delicious. So crunchy and good. Can't wait to make a big salad and add these to it tomorrow. I had forgotten how much I love sprouts. Starting some more tomorrow so I will have them on hand.
I met the sisters missionaries at Ruth's house to visit her but she was not home so I went and picked up Gracie from Day Care and brought her home. Heather is going to Utah right after work so we have our sweet little Gracie for the weekend. She is so much fun.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for all the things I have learned to do. I love to learn new things. I am blessed to be able to do these things.

Kathy got up this morning and went home to St George. It was so fun to be with her. I just love her so much. She keeps me hopeful at all times. She knows what to say to give me hope.

I was a little sad all day because Kathy had gone home but I know she will return again. I did have fun with Avery. She must have made 4 batches of Focaccia Bread. She is quite the baker.

We are watching Gracie today because she is still sick and has to have breathing treatments. She is okay with them if she can have an electronic to hold. Avery phone or my ipad will do.
After Gracie's nap we went to Winco and got the ingredients for Granola. Then it was home to sit around and talk the rest of the day. Kathy worked on her work stuff for a little while. It never ends when you have a job like hers.
Avery helped me make pizzas for dinner. I made 4 of them and not one piece remained.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that my dear friend would drive 8 hours just to spend time with me. I am so blessed to have her in my life.

Kathy and I went shopping and running around today. First we hit the cannery to try out there new and improved milk. It is pretty good. Much better than the old milk.

Next stop was the Kitchen store. We love this place. I got some plastic glasses. All our glass ones are disappearing.

Then it was on to walmart. Kathy needed alergy medicine and stuff for hamburgers for dinner.

For lunch we went to our favorite place. The Gang Plank has the best fish and chips and cole slaw. We always find our way to there for lunch. That's where we took this selfie. Boy oh howdy. I need to learn to take better pics. But it is what it is!

Tommy barbecued hamburgers for dinner so that helped me out tons. I really wasn't hungry and a tad bit tired from shopping so it made it easy on me.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the fun times Kathy and I have together. We can have fun doing anything. I am blessed each and every day of my life.

Beautiful Sabbath

I went to church with Kathy and Avery. Bailee and Austin were at their dad's. I was supposed to meet with the Bishop after church but he was out of town. So we tried. We really don't have anything to say so we are good.
After church we made Black Bean Burritos for everyone. It was so good. It's Kathy's favorite.
Then we talked until almost 10 and I was so tired I had to say good night and go to bed.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the Sabbath. I am grateful that I can recognize the working of Satan in my life. Discouragement is the one he is working on me with now. Get behind my Satan!!!!

My Best Friend Has Arrived

I went to the cannery but no one showed up so I came home. It was good for me to not have to stay there. Of course, one sister text me to tell me she was coming but I didn't get it until I was already home. But her and her husband canned something so it was all good.

Next on the list was to finish my laundry and clean the rest of my house. I got that all done and then it was time to wait for my friend. 

Kathy and her granddaughter Avery got here around 5. We chatted, went to Broulims to stock up on treats and talked some more. 

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my best friend. I am blessed to have her in my life.

Tommy and I cleaned my floors this morning and we made sure Gracie didn't walk on them before they dried. Now that was a job.

I took my shower and got ready to meet Crystal at the church to do the VT changes. But they have changed the locks on the clerks office so we couldn't get in. Another day for that job.

Heather worked an hour overtime so I took a little nap with Gracie. That little girl just wouldn't wake up so I left Tommy in charge and drove to IF to get Heather.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful today for Gracie. She just brightens up my day no matter how stressed I am. I am blessed.

Presidency Meeting

I watched Gracie today and worked on Visiting Teaching stuff. Our presidency meeting started at 3:30 and I think we were done around 5. But we got everything we needed changed and thanks to my counselors and secretary we were able to change partner and sisters they teach until we got it right. I am really sad that Crystal and I are no longer partners. We are now paired up with sisters that are not strong. Hopefully this all works. If not we will start make more changes.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my presidency. They are truly in tune with the Spirit and keep me on track.

Today I was in a stressed out grouchy mood. But Gracie always has a way of making it all better. She played with Papa all morning and fell asleep on our bed. She never does that. What a blessing. I was able to get lots of stuff done while she napped.

I made some more phone calls this afternoon and worked on these pages. I finished the YW in Excellence one and made the Snowman one. Almost done with 2012. 

Went to Idaho Falls and picked Heather up from work and Tommy and I made Biscuits, Eggs and Gravy for dinner. Then it was time to sit in my chair and watch American Idol.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this little girl that can make me happy no matter what mood I am in. Blessing abound with Gracie around!

Hair Cut

I went to Ambers and got my hair cut this morning while Harley watched Gracie for me. I love how fast Amber is. I wash it before I go and she is done in 20 minutes or less.
I finished this page last night after I had already posted my day. I started another one to keep going.
Gracie sent the afternoon laying on my shoulder. She has a fever and just doesn't feel well.
I made Baked Zita for dinner with Focaccia Bread.
I went over to Faith's house and trained her to be a District Leader for Visiting Teaching. Just in time for February Report due on the 10th.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the sisters that are so willing to hold callings in Relief Society. It is such a blessing to have help.

Going to Winco

I swore I was going to remember to take a picture of my cart stacked to the top and beyond. As usual I didn't. But I got it all done and brought it home. I only have a few pantry items to put away tomorrow. Just too tired tonight.
I watch Gracie this afternoon because she wasn't feeling well and Heather had to run some errands in Idaho Falls. She just laid on my shoulder and cuddled me. Poor little sick thing.
A new recipe for fajitas was tried out tonight. It was yummy. I had some steak that needed cooking so I sauted them with onion and peppers. That recipe went straight into my cook book.
I was supposed to train one of our district leaders for visiting teaching but she cancelled. So it's tomorrow night. She is so young and cute. I just love her and her name is Faith.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the ability to buy food and feed my family. I know there are many people who go to bed hungry. I am blessed.

Regional Conference and Trek Fireside

I was just not up to going to Stake Conference. I can't figure out why. I don't know if it's that so many people are there and I always end up in the back of the room or what. But I didn't go. Bad me!! I did read my scriptures.
I spent the day lazing around. I figured out my checkbook. That's always good to get out of the way and I worked on a page.
Gracie wasn't feeling very well and Heather is on her way back from Utah. She went there on Thursday for her sisters baby shower. I think she will be glad when her mommy gets back.
I organized the 12 kits I purchased over the scrapping weekend and that took all evening. In between all this Austin and I went to a Trek Fireside. The Bishop had made a video of all the trek members. It was awesome. I am so grateful that Austin got to go. What a wonderful experience. He now has a video for his very own self to treasure forever.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the programs the church has for the youth to help them to develop strong testimonies. What a blessing for my grandkids.
