Church in St George

Heather, Judy and I went to the 9am Sacrament Service. They had very interesting speakers. So many good stories. I think the thing I got out of all the talks aside from the fun and interesting stories is that we need to listen and obey the prompting of the Spirit and love one another. We need to take care of each other.
We came home and ate leftovers all day and scrapped and watched chick flicks. It was very relaxing and good.
Kathy came over and we visited until she had to go home at 10. She took the day off so she could play with me tomorrow.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Sabbath. I am grateful that no matter where you go it is always the same. The Spirit is strong in all the meeting houses. What a blessing.

We went to the Pasta Factory today and had lunch. Then we came home and I finished this page.
Megan and Calli left because there is a big storm coming in and they had to be home on Sunday. It was good to hang out with them. They are so sweet and cute.
We ate left overs tonight for dinner and I finished this page I started this morning.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Savior. I have been thinking about what He has done for me. What a blessing in my life and the lives of everyone who will take His name upon them.

We went to lunch to El Pollo Loco and it was delicious. Came back to condo and finished this page I had started. I just love to scra.p. Especially with my good friends.

Kathy and Kristen came over tonight to visit with me and have dinner. Megan and Calli made soup and salad for dinner. It was so yummy. Kathy and Kristen ate with us and then we had some good talks and lots of laughs. 

Now it's my bed time. Good Night.

St George Here We Come

Judy and I drove to St. George. We had great conversations on the way down the road. We left at 9:15 and arrived 12:40. Megan and Callie were the next to arrive. Then came Heather and Gerri at 5:30. Now we all have arrived and are ready to scrap.
Judy and I made Chicken Fajitas, Black Beans and Mexican Rice. It was yummy good. Now for some serious scrapping.
Grateful Statement:  I am so grateful for my friends. What a blessing they are in my life.

On The Road Again

I left Idaho this morning at 10 and arrived in Utah at 2ish. It was an uneventful drive. I stopped on an on ramp to fix my music on my phone. I kust had to snap this pic.

Amie made a delicious casserole of Baked Zita and a big salad. It was so good with hot bread. I love her dinners. They are the very best.

Now I'm going to sort some pictures and get ready for tomorrow. I am soooo excited to go have fun.

I do miss my sweet Gracie. I hope she is happy and getting everything she wants LOL!

I went to church today and taught my class. They are so cute. We had to do spotlight pages on each one so I didn't teach much of my lesson. But I think maybe they understand prayer.
I asked Aarin Smith to sub for me the next two weeks and she said she would. That's a relief. One more thing done.
I spent some time scanning the picture from my mothers album. I am trying to get it all done so I can take it back to my brother. I did not even know this picture existed. I have never seen a picture of my mom and dad and all us kids together. It was such a treasure. I asked my brother Johnnie if he knew of this picture and he didn't either. Mom had quite the little flock of kids.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the family I came from. I just wish I would have known my real dad better. What a blessing to find this picture.

Today was a pretty good day. I was a little tired but I made it through. Janna had to work so I took care of Gracie. She was really good.

I also made Mexican Rice to go with the Tacos and Refried Beans we had for dinner. It was so good. Then I watch TV and played my Paradise Bay on my Ipad. It's so much fun. I think I am addicted.

AJ took the 4 wheeler and pulled Madi and Gracie all over our subdivision. They had so much fun.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my primary class I teach. As I was preparing the lesson today I felt the Spirit so strong. The power of prayer is real and I know it. Not to convey that to 12 little 3 yr olds. 

Getting My Hair Done

My Cinnamon Rolls.

I almost didn't get my hair done today. I was just messing around and not thinking about much when I looked at the clock and realized I had an appointment at 10 for a hair cut. It was 10:05 and I hadn't showed or anything. I called Leslie and as to reschedule. She said can you be here at 10:30. Yes siree! I hopped in the shower, washed my hair, got dressed, brushed my teeth, grabbed my Phone, Wallet and off I went. I walked in the door of the Salon at 10:28. I am positive that is a record. I used to never forget anything now I can't remember anything. Oh the joys of being 70 years old.

I came home and started making Cinnamon Rolls and Pizza Dough for dinner. 

When Janna and AJ got home they made the Pizza's. I had everything ready for them so they just had to assemble them. They were delicious.

And the Cinnamon Rolls were a huge hit. Now it's time to go to bed.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my sweet mom. Every time I make these Rolls I think of her. It's her recipe and she taught me how. I miss her lots and lots.

Visiting Teaching

I went to visit Lyn today. My partner had to take her baby to the doctor so she couldn't go and we couldn't get into our other two sisters. One is in California and the other was too busy. I will try again next monday and tuesday.
I came home and made a big pot of Italian Pasta Bean Soup from a mix I make. It was so delicious. Tommy, Gracie and I love it. Not so much anyone else so they can just eat cereal
I also made two loaves of Amish Country Bread. It is delicious. Everyone loved it. We are a bunch of Bread heads around here.
Gracie really loves her baby. She tends it all the time. It's always wrapped up and sleeping.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for all my many blessings. I am especially grateful for Lyn and that I get to be her visiting teacher. I am blessed.

Eye Doctor

I went to the eye doctor today and had my eyes checked. I swear I could have been at a used car lot. They just try to sell you everything and then they wanted me to make an appointment for Tommy. NOT! I finally just told them to give me the prescription and I would come back later for glasses. I could tell they weren't happy with me but too bad. I also have cataracts, but not bad enough to have surgery. In a couple of years I will have to do it.

I picked up Gracie and she proceeded to put her stocking hat over her eyes. I told her she was going to run into something. Gracie is such a crazy little girl. 

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for eye doctors that can help me see better. They are a blessing to me.

Winco

Today I made my way to Winco. I had a cart the didn't work very well so it was extra hard to push it around. But I made it through it. Bagging my own groceries is the hard part.

I came home and started putting stuff away. Then it was off to get Gracie from Lolo's. She has so much fun playing with the kids. And it gives me a much needed break.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I am able to shop at Winco. It saves me so much money. What a blessing to have on in Idaho Falls.

Nothing Done Today

I was going to go to Winco but I just couldn't muster up the energy. I was too tired to hardly get out of my chair so I didn't. Gracie had a rough night so I kept her home with me. Here she is with her baby wrapped up in the blankets Cha Cha gave her and watching cartoons. She is such a delight.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for days like today where I can just relax and get my energy back. Heavenly Father knows I need them so He gives them to me.

I went to church today by myself. Gracie was playing with Madi so I left her at home. It's a little difficult when she doesn't like the nursery and it's from 1-4 which is her nap time.
The released the Young Women's Presidency and called Crystal to be the president. She will be awesome. I'm so sure Ariana is relieved to teach Sunday School and have all that extra time.
I came home and didn't do much the rest of the day. I think I was very tired from my drive yesterday.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for church where I can get direction from on high. Blessed!!

I woke up the boys and told Harrison to test, packed my car and off I went. I picked up Gracie at 7:45 and headed for Utah. Heather drove me to John's so I could say goodby and then I took her to her house and Gracie and I were off. She was pretty good. We only stop twice, once to find her ipad and her blanket and once to go to the bathroom. What a trooper she was. 

There was a snowstorm coming in Idaho Falls in the afternoon so I was trying to get home before it hit. Of course, it was 2 hours early so from Pocatello on it was pretty bad. But I prayed for safety and kept on going. I made it home at about 12:20. What a relief.

And when I went into my family room there was a fabulous surprise for me. AJ had made this bookcase for Gracie's toys and all the stuff for my TV. Now I have to finish some more albums to place on it when Gracie is a little older. I just love it!!!

Tommy made me a hamburger to go along with my clean house for my birthday. How sweet is that.

It's 8pm and I am so tired I am going to bed.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the power of prayer. I always feel comfort when I pray for safety. Blessing abound!

I woke up to snow coming down. I was supposed to go to lunch with Kaylyn but cancelled. It was just to snowy for me. So I spent the day scrapbooking.

Hailey came over and interviewed me for a class she is taking. It was pretty fun. I started packing up all my stuff so I can leave at 7:30 to go get Gracie and head for Idaho. It's supposed to snow in Idaho in the afternoon so I'm heading out early and see if I can beat the storm. Then again the weather men could be wrong.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for these Grandkids of mine. I am so blessed to have the family I have.

What in the world did I do today. Nothing! I cleaned a little, scrapped these two pages. made a little dinner and went to the store. That's it. It was wonderful. I talked to my little Gracie. She is so cute. I love her to pieces. I talked to Tommy, Tommie, Gracie, Ethel, Kathy, Dean. Janna and Johnny. It's been a terrific day.

Now it's time to watch American Idol and vegetate.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my kids. I love each one of them so much. They are truly a blessing to me.

Today I did not leave the house. I scrapbooked and watched TV all day. I put one of Amie's casseroles in the oven for dinner. Such a lazy wonderful day. 

After the kids came home and Hailey stopped by I took their pictures. Of course, they didn't want me too. But I did it anyway. I am going to have to make my way to the grocery store tomorrow for some salad stuff and fruit for these boys. 

I watched American Idol and talked with Gracie and Tommie. John called me and I called my hubby. That's what I did today. 

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful, restful day. I am so blessed to be able to come here and watch after these boys.

I went to the market after Hailey brought me Dean's credit card. Then I came back and continued to scrapbook. Made these two pages. I made grilled chicken salad sandwiches for the boys.
Then back to my computer and watching ID on television.
It has been a most restful, wonderful day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful today for my ability to scrapbook. It has been such a blessing to relive all these memories as I scrap them. I am blessed!

Ok fine, but I'll give you my mean look.

My good friends Judy and Heather took me out to lunch for my Birthday. Aren't they the sweetest. We went to a Chinese Restaurant by Walmart. It was yummy. I came home and hung out and received pictures from Tommie. She sent the one of Gracie riding the rocking horse I made for Heather when I lived in Acton. It just brought back so many memories of Heather riding that horse. And I think she is wearing a new hat. So cute. The next picture I got was of her and her cousin Grady. They had a great time mauling each other. How very sweet.

In the afternoon I went to Mapleton and picked up John and brought him home with me. He had dinner with me and stayed the night. It was good to have him here.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for good friends who I love. I am blessed!

It's My 70th Birthday

I can hardly believe that I am 70 years old. How in the world did that happen?
I woke up to birthday calls and tons of Facebook Wishes. Amie left me a wonderful Cold Stone Cake and balloons and a present. What a sweetheart she is.
I didn't go to church so I could take Gracie to Cha-Cha's house with her mom. I didn't hear anything from Heather until about 2pm. She had misplaced her phone. I picked up Heather and took them to Tommie's house and dropped them off.
I spent the day playing blocks with my little Gracie. She had a great time.
Hailey came over and we had BLT's. They sang Happy Birthday to me and we had cake. It was yummy. I just love my grandkids.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful Heavenly Father has seen fit to leave me on this earth for this many years. I am truly blessed with a wonderful life.

I took Gracie down to Provo and picked up John and Heather. We went shopping and then to McDonald's so Gracie could play. She was really brave today and went all the way up to the top and then didn't know how to get down so Heather went to rescue her. We had a good time. It was good to see my John. I gave him his Christmas finally. He was going to come up but sent Heather up instead. So he didn't make it for Christmas but I will still make him his Mexican Wedding Cakes he loves so much. 

I dropped everyone off and came home. Heather is pretty sick so she went to take a nap and see if she could get feeling better.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my John. I love him with all my heart. He truly has taught me so many things as I have attempted to raise him. I am blessed!

We got up and I finished packing my bags and off Gracie and I went to Utah. We stopped in Tremonton for lunch at McDonald's so Gracie could play. She had fun and got to stretch her legs. Then it was off to Provo to see her Mommie. She was pretty excited to see her. She loves her mommie. 

It was a long drive but we finally made it to Dean and Amie's. Amie colored with Gracie and fixed us dinner. Gracie and I are pretty tired so we are going to bed.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my safe trip here. I was a little sick when I left but I just kept praying that I would be okay. Oh, the power of prayer. I am blessed.

This little one has been sick with a cough and runny nose. Janna and AJ went to the store and she couldn't wait for Janna to get home. She cuddled up with me and went sound asleep.

I did my laundry today. Got it all done. Yeah Team!! Getting ready to pack up my stuff for Utah.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful today for our Prophet and all who serve with him. I am grateful for the direction from God that they receive for our benefit. I am grateful to have an absolute knowledge that God is leading this church through his Prophet and Apostles.

Gracie absolutely loves Fruit Snacks and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We watch it everyday except when she goes to Lolo's. It's so cold outside we can't go out and play so we play in the house. Hurry up Summer, this girls needs her swing, tramp and sandbox.

Harley Has No Wisdom

I took Harley to Dr Machen in Idaho Falls to get her Wisdom Teeth pulled. They had to cut them out or "slice and dice" as Harley called it. While she was in the chair Gracie and I went to Brolim's in Idaho Falls to get her prescriptions filled and I bought the stuff on my shopping list. 

Then Gracie and I went to McDonalds for a happy meal. She never eats anything but the French Fries... Oh well, better luck next time.
Homeward we went after picking up Harley tried to give her her meds but she couldn't open her mouth. Janna got her some Ice Cream so she could have something to eat.
Harley put on her facebook page that she had her wisdom teeth out and now has no wisdom. How funny is that. 

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this granddaughter of mine. It's hard to see them go through hard stuff. I am so blessed with the most wonderful grandkids in the world.

This is our cute little Sunbeams. They are so sweet and good. We'll see how long it lasts. But I love them all already.They are the very best. What a way to spend a Sunday with these cuties.

Gracie was sick again so she didn't go to church. She just always seems to have a cough or cold. I hope she grows out of this soon.

I was very tired after church. Our new time is 1pm to 4pm. Needless to say it's hard for all of us including my sunbeams. 

Janna made pancakes for dinner so I didn't have to do anything.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Sabbath. What a wonderful renewal I get each Sunday.

I made my calendar for 2016 and put January up today. I love making these calendars. I went back to 2015 and chose pictures from the month. I love looking at these as I change them each month.

I made Fajitas today in a crock pot. They were pretty good but I would like them better saute'd in a skillet. My problem is I don't have enough room in my biggest pan to make enough for my family. So it worked out pretty easy.

I was really tired today so I didn't accomplish a thing. 

Janna went shopping with AJ and bought a new washer. Her old one was so bad we thought for sure it was going to come through the wall into my family room. Now she has a quiet one.

Grateful Statement: I am grateful for a new year to begin. Can't wait to see what it brings.
