I took Gracie for her check up. She did so good for the dentist. She just lets them do whatever they want. She has 2 molars in the back that Dr Baker wants to coat and keep a good eye on. So we made another appt to come back. Then we headed home for cartoons. She loves her cartoons.

Grateful Statement: So grateful for such a wonderful dentist. So glad Heavenly Father gave him such fabulous knowledge.

Gracie Eating Cucumbers

I gave Gracie some cucumbers for lunch today. She loves them, especially with Cucumber Ranch Dressing. It was so yummy.

I taught my sweet little Sunbeams today. They are so very cute and fun. They just keep Connie and I laughing. We talked about all the kind of houses people live in and how grateful we all are for our homes. They were so cute as they tried to tell me what their homes were like.
John called me tonight to tell me he loved me. What a nut. He always makes me laugh. He lost his phone down a manhole so he got one that he can text from.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for John. I am grateful that he loves me and cares about me. He is a blessing to me.

Hannah

I read the post Amie put on Hannah's blog as I always do. I just made me cry when I read this part.

"In the scriptures we read, "The God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, and the God of Abraham." -Those must have been very personal and intimate relationships for Isaac, Jacob, and Abraham to be able to say, "Yep that's my God." My mission has really helped me to figure out who the God of Hannah is and where I stand in that relationship. I think that of the literal ocean of things I have learned on my mission the biggest and most important is that I know that my Redeemer lives. I've learned what that phrase means to me personally and what it can mean to those around me. It brings hope, it lets me know that I am never alone, it makes me happy."

It made me ask myself who is the God of Janice and where am I at. It was a profound moment as I reflected on where I stand with my God. Hannah made me reach inward and do some soul searching.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful with all my heart for my Hannah!!

My Bounty

I picked these today and froze them so I can make some Jam when my bush is through porducing. I am so glad Tommy planted this bush for me. It is just taking over. I love it.

Today I made hamburger and baked beans for the family. Then I cleaned up my kitchen and sat in my chair to rest. 

I worked in my garden this morning pulling weeds and harvesting beets. They are so good boiled and with a little butter on them. I am going to work in it each morning until it is all weed free.

I love my raised bed. It makes it so easy to weed. I just sit on my little cart and go up and down the rows. Keeps my back from hurting.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the bounty I get out of my garden. God blesses me each year as I learn what works. I am blessed.

Sabbath Breaker

Ripe Tomatoes

I got up this morning and canned these tomatoes that were ripe. I wanted to get them done. I know I shouldn't have canned on the Sabbath but it's done and I hope I can be forgiven. LOL

I can about 3-4 quarts at a time so I can keep up with my tomato plants.

I went to church and sat in with the Sunbeams and help with their crafts. I love to watch Connie teach. She is so good with these kids.

I came home and didn't do one thing until bed time. I was tired.

Grateful Statement: So grateful for my Savior that can take on my sins and that I can be forgiven. I am blessed.

Look what I got in the mail today. My attachment for my Wonder Mixer. I got out the old cheese block and cut it in four pieces and put it in the tube and it was done in seconds. I am going to love this. No more grating all that cheese that the kids eat in a matter of minutes.

I ordered this on Thursday afternoon and it came today. I love Chef Brad's site. They are on top of things.

I watched Gracie today while Janna worked on the ARA House. She played in the water all morning. Janna is so close to moving in. Probably next weekend. I will have to go over and take some pictures.

I made White Chicken Chili except I used pork chops from our piggy. It was pretty good but I like the chicken better.
I also made this Berry Jam that turned into Barry Syrup. Can't wait to put some on a waffle or ice cream.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this wonderful grater. I am blessed to be able to purchase these time saving things.

Canning Tomatoes

Today was a very productive day. I canned all the ripe tomatoes I had. It made 3 quarts. It's a start so every other day I'll have to do it again. I got out the Squeezo to use it but it's gaskets are brittle. So I ordered replacement parts and it will be all ready for the apples.

I also ordered the Slicer/Shredder Attachment for my Wonder Mixer. I think grating all the cheese around here will be much easier.

Then I made Macadamian Nut/White Chocolate Chip cookies for Harley. Then I was too tired to make dinner. I made Gracie a quesadilla and Janna some scrambled eggs. The rest of the clan were on their own.

Tonight Bailee got out our new kittens and Gracie had to hold one. It's momma is going to get fixed asap.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my wonderful garden and all the produce I get to eat and can. I am blessed to have this garden. Heavenly Father is good to me.

Taking Janna to the Surgical Center

I have never in my life used Tahini. I didn't even know what it was. But I wanted to make some Hummus and it calls for Tahini. So I got the Sesame Seeds and made it. But I forgot the Chick Peas for the Hummus. But next time I go to the market maybe I will remember. Then I can make it.

I met Janna at the Surgical Center in Idaho Falls this afternoon so they could do a scope on her upper intestines. Everything looks good but the doctor took some biopsies to see if she has an infection. So we will wait for those results. 

Bailee drove her car home so I could take her home in my car. She was knocked out so she couldn't drive. It was a little rough getting her awake and in the car. She came home and slept. I stopped and got her a Diet Mountain Dew to see if it would help her headache.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for doctors that can help us when we need them. They are a blessing.

I take a picture almost everyday of Gracie to send to Tommie and Heather. Some days she is cooperative and some days she is not. But she is so cute it doesn't matter. She loves to feed her baby marshmellows. She plays with her babies everyday.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Old Testament. I have learned so much as I read and study it. One day I will get done with it. What a blessing the Scrptures are in my life.

Tommie got this Minnie Mouse for Gracie and sent it home with me. She absolutely loves it. Austin is taking her to Lolo's in his car. She said "Austie is the best" when she got in his car. He is so good to take her to Lolo's in the morning. It helps me a ton not to have to go out of the house. I can get my stuff done.

Grateful Statement: I am so blessed today to have this kid help me with Gracie. He is so responsible and helpful, plus he gives me a hug everyday and tells me he loves me. That is a blessing!

Got up this morning and met John at Village Inn for breakfast and after a fabulous hug off I went. It was a long drive but was uneventful. I arrived home around 2pm. Gracie was so glad to see me. She is just the sweetest little girl around. It's good to be home. I didn't do much because sitting in a car seat is so much work it wears me out. LOL

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that this son of mine is doing so well. I am blessed!!

Dean's Birthday Page

John came over this morning before I went to Heather's. It was so good to see him. After he left I went over to Heather's. Judy came today along with her Mom, Marcia. I worked on this page for Dean and searched thru Scrap N Pieces Quick Pages for Gracie's book. I found a ton but I only bought 3 sets to start off. I want to have a book done by Christmas.

We went to Chic fal A for lunch. It just wasn't as good as I remembered. But it was lunch. Back to Scrapping. Our last day of scrapping. So sad. But in one month we will be going to St George. Yeah!

Grateful Statement: I am so very grateful for my sons. I am blessed that they love me as much as I love them. Blessing abound in my life.

Scrapping and Costa Vida

I went down to Heather's about 9am to start our fin scrapping weekend. It is so much fun to scrap with these ladies. We always have so much fun talking and scrapping. We went to lunch at Costa Vida and I forgot to take a picture. Imagine that. It was pretty yummy.

Then it was back to Heather to scrap the rest of the day.

I worked on these pages forever. I started them at home but had so many colors from all the clothes people were wearing I decided to make them all Sepia. Then I had to stitch around all the pictures. What a chore. But it is done. 

I went back to Dean's about 10pm and snuggled in my comfy bed.

Grateful Statement: I am so very grateful for my wonderful friends. We have such a good time together. I am blessed to have them in my life.

Going to Utah with Megan

Megan arrived at my house a little after 7am and I finished my packing and got Gracie ready for Lolo's. Then we were off. By the time we dropped Gracie off it was 8am. It was an uneventful drive. It was fun to have someone to talk to. I am sure she got tired of hearing me talk but that's the price for riding in my car. LOL.
I dropped Megan off at Heather's and went to the hospital to see Tommie. She was looking pretty good. I could tell she was in a lot of pain. Megan was there taking care of her. What a wonderful daughter.
I gave her $200 to help pay her bills until she can get another job. I hope it helps her.
Then it was back to Dean's house for a peaceful weekend full of fun.
All the Ingram's are in Europe so it was just me by myself. It was wonderful.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Dean and his family. I love how generous they are to let me stay at their house any time I want. I am so blessed with my wonderful family.

Tommie Is Having A Mastectomy

Today Tommie is in the hospital having a Mastectomy. She found a lump and it was cancerous so she opted to have it removed. Megan has kept me posted all day long. It all went well and the surgeon thinks he got it all.
Tommie was in a lot of pain and drugged up. I know it will get better everyday. It's a bummer she had to go through this but she is in good spirits.
She also got a blessing for her former Bishop when she was investigating the church. So that was good. I put her name on the Temple Prayer Roll so she was covered.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Tommie. She loves Gracie so much and I am blessed to have her in my life.

I went over to Janna's to find Gracie  dressed up in her church shoes, my mittens and her beanie hat. She was really styling. She love to dress up. So Cute.

Grateful Statement: I am grateful for my sweet daughter that took on raising this little girl without a single doubt. She is the best and cares so much for other people. I am blessed.
