Dean's Birthday Celebration

My computer had a ton of virus' on it. The Computer Store in Rigby fixed it all up for me. He installed a Virus Program, Cleaner and Malware program to keep me safe. He was very funny and told me he just loved people like me because it kept him in business. Smart Alec. Now to catch up some what.

Hayden, Harrison, Austin and Hannah (Too cute even with her eyes closed) waiting for Dean to Open his presents.
 Tommy "Dad" waiting too!
Bailee looks too serious for a birthday party.
Dean and Hailey. These Ingram girls can't keep their eyes open. So gorgeous.
 Opening his presents.
Tommy and I brought Bailee and Austin with us to visit with for Dean's birthday. They are out of school for Christmas break. Bailee spent time with her best friend Meagan. They have been best buddies for a long time. Austin played Zelda with Harrison and Hayden. They had so much fun...
We went out to dinner at Dalton's. Such yummy food.
I really need to get better at pictures. I didn't get any at the restaurant.
Amie took me to Mount Pleasant where Heather is in rehab. We had a good visit. I just love the granddaughter of mine.
We came on Tuesday and left on Saturday so I could get back to teach my Sunbeam class.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for my son Dean. He has always been such a good kid. I am grateful that I was blessed to be his mom.

Computer Was Attacked by a Virus

When I get my computer back for the computer place I will upload my pictures and blog. I just hate when I get a virus. I am blogging on Tommy's and I can't put my pictures on with it. So I'll be back in a couple of days and catch up....

Christmas Time

When I went visit teaching Jessica told me about this fun and easy pretzel candy. It sounded so good that Bailee and I went to Broulim's and got the stuff to make them. They were so good. I'm making them next Christmas too!! That's a melted Rolo with an almond smashed down on top and a pretzel on the bottom.
Here are the Christmas stockings that Janna filled for the kids and her and Ronnie. Tommy and I had a stocking too. How cute was that of Janna to fill a stocking for her parents. Bailee and Austin had come over to my house at 5:30 am on Christmas morning looking for their stockings. I hadn't even thought about getting them out of the Christmas Room and putting them out. Funny kids say they are going over to their house so Santa can find their stockings and put them out. I think I have forgotten how to play Santa it's been so many years since I've did it.
Christmas Eve the kids opened their pj's and the quilt Janna and I had made for them. They love the warm flannel. They are such funny, crazy kids.
Here's Ronnie opening up the quilt Bailee made for him. He always comes over Christmas Eve and stays the night so he can see the kids open their presents Christmas morning.
Here is the Chief Dishwasher. I cook dinner and he does the dishes. I think that's a very fair deal.
After we opened all the presents under the tree Janna told the kids we needed to go to her office to get Grandpa's present. So we took the kids over so Harley could see her huge fish tank. I brought this back from Payson the last time I was in Utah. She really loved it.
Austin was so excited to see his bike. He couldn't wait to ride it. He said he knew we were going to get presents for them at Mom's office and not Grandpa. Pretty smart boy.
And then there is Bailee looking at her TV trying to decide if she really want to keep it or take it back and get something else. Janna had to try to figure out something she would want. After all was said and done Bailee decided to keep it and now she's very glad she has one to watch in her bedroom.

I made a Turkey Dinner and didn't go to church because I couldn't figure out how to get the dinner done so Ronnie would be able to eat with us. Next time Christmas is on a Sunday we will be having something a lot easier and doesn't have to be basted.
That was our Christmas. Today we took the kids to Pet Smart so Harley and Bailee could get some fish for their fish tanks. We also took Bailee's boots back and Austin's Nintendo game that didn't work. It wasn't too bad. The store were relatively fast.
Now it's time for me to go to sleep. I'm needing some sleep.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the peace Heavenly Father gives me in times of trials. He is so loving and caring. He can literally change what's in my heart and make me feel better.

Sewing Corner Getting Better and Better

We finished the quilt Bailee made for her daddy. She is so proud of her accomplishment. After Christmas we will be sewing something fun for her.
Tommy helped me hang my organizers for my sewing corner. It helps to have everything up off the sewing cabinet. It's hard to feed the quilts through with all the stuff in the way. Slowly but surely I am getting my house organized.
I have been wrapping and baking and visit teaching this week. I think I have finally got in the Christmas Spirit. And I have been listening to Christmas music to help it along. Today it snowed so I was glad to have my cozy little house to snuggle up in. Now it's time to get ready for a good nights sleep.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the birth of my Savior. I am grateful for His sacrifice for me. I want to remember Him all this season every day.

Last Class with 11yr Olds

Bailee, Austin and I went to church today. I taught my last class. Next week we only have Sacrament and the next week after that I teach the Sunbeams. It was so sweet. I told the kids this was our last class and they told me they were sad. They said I was one of their best teachers. How sweet is that! I got my new manual today and turned in my other book. Then I went to Relief Society for the last time for probably a year.
I came home and did absolutely nothing. I finally made Mac and Cheese for the kids for dinner.
Friday and Saturday Janna and I went shopping and finished Christmas Shopping for the kids. Ronnie helped Janna get the kids things. He really made it easy for Janna. Now I just have to finish a couple of things and we will be done.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for the lesson on "The Second Coming". I was reminded of the signs and wonders and once again how "the righteous need not be afraid".

Where Has The Week Gone

I can't believe it's Wednesday night already. I have spent the week making fudge, working on a quilt, cooking dinners and I can't really remember what else.
Today I had my visiting teachers come to visit and I made some appointments for Brittany and I to visit our sisters. It's hard around this time of the year. Everyone is so busy that it's hard to get a time that works for them so I just tell them to tell me what's good and that helps.
I have a little 11 year old girl named Brianne with me tonight. She is going to spend the night and ride the bus to school with Bailee tomorrow. Her family is having a crisis so she's my friend for the night. Such a smart, sweet little girl. Bailee is over here and they are making bracelet together.
I think I'm going to see if I can make my house a respite house for families in crisis. I would take in a child that needs a place for a day or two. I just feel so bad for these kids that are going through hard stuff. I always wanted to be a foster parent but Tommy didn't want to. But because this is only for a couple of days at a time I think he likes it better.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for Heavenly Father letting me help Brianne tonight. I want to serve all his children and what better way to feel His love than to take care of His children that need me. I am blessed to have such a caring daughter that truly looks after the families of the kids she has in the probation system.

Sugar Cookies

Saturday Bailee and I made sugar cookies so they could decorate them. They really had fun putting the icing on them. And they really worked well with the pastry bags. I filled the white too full and it kept coming out the top so I had to take some out. It was fun to watch them.
Janna finished another quilt she had started. We are on a roll around here. I think she has one more to finish and she is all caught up. It's fun to have her hang out with me.
Sunday: Janna, Austin and I went to church today. Bailee was coughing too much. My class was so good. I really like the kids in the class. Janna was so tired she had a hard time staying awake in church. But we made it. We went into primary to listen to Austin give his talk. It was fun to be in with the kids. All my kids go to YM/YW so I usually go to Relief Society. So it was a treat to be able to go into closing exercises.
After church we relaxed and in the evening Janna started on her last quilt she has started. Austin made us Waffles. So yummy good.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for my sweet granddaughter Heather. Today is her birthday. She has been on my mind all day long.

Back Home in Idaho

Thursday Harrison stayed home from school with a sore throat so I put him on the couch so I could run with Judy to look at a new hotel for our scrapping weekend in January. We liked the La Quinta in Orem. Very nice. The conference room is a little smaller but we think it will work. It was good to spend time with Judy. She has been such a good friend for so long.
I came back home and Harrison and I watched "Polar Express". It was a cute show. Then Harrison watch "The Nightmare Before Christmas". It was such a weird movie, I couldn't watch it.
I got up this morning and went to get a Christmas present in Payson and headed home. I got here in the afternoon and just relaxed and enjoyed not being in a car. We went out to Mexican Food for dinner and Austin and I are watching "The Closer". Grandkids are the best movie watching partners ever.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for a safe trip home. I know Heavenly Father watches over me when I am driving alone.

Hunger Games

How cute is this? Hayden is reading "The Hunger Games". What a smart little boy he is. Amie has him read 30 minutes every day.
I didn't do one thing today. I remember doing dishes and watching cooking shows all day long. It was just what I needed. It was relaxing for me. The kids have been so good. I just love, love, love these guys. They are so loving and polite to their grandma. I did pick up Harrison from school because he had to take a test. So I guess I did do something.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful today for the opportunity I have to watch over these grandkids. I do  believe my grandkids are my life. They  bring me so much joy and make my heart all warm and fuzzy....

Utah Here I Come

I left for Utah at 10:48 this morning and arrived in Payson at 2:50 in the afternoon. I told Tommy it was a four hour drive but he kept telling me it was 4 1/2 to 5. And I didn't speed either. After I got here I picked up Hannah and brought her home to change for Soccer Practice and took her down to the Stake Center in Salem. I came home and warmed up Cafe Rio for dinner and fed the boys.
The boys were watching a Christmas movie in Amie's room and I had to get a picture of them snuggled under a blanket. They didn't want to have their picture taken so I told them if they didn't show their faces they would have to go to bed. That brought them out in a flash. All the kids are in bed except Hailey. She had Basketball practice and then she had to referee a game or something like that so she won't be home until 10pm. Long day for her.
Grateful Statement: Today I am so grateful for a safe trip to Dean and Amie's. I'm grateful that I can watch the kids for them. I just love this family. How blessed am I to have the most wonderful grandkids in the world.

Bailee the Seamstress

Bailee and I went to church today and after she wanted to learn to sew. So we started on a quilt. She is very good at making straight seams. She is making this for her daddy for Christmas. She is so thoughtful and always thinking about her family. She is a fast learner so she will be making purses and such very soon.
The Primary President told me today that I would have the Sunbeams next year. I love those little kids. We'll see how well that goes. I'm not as young as I used to be but I think I can handle it. I will have about nine Sunbeams. There are 18 of them all together so they are dividing the class. I will have the "older" ones.
Grateful Statement: Today I am grateful for the opportunity to teach in primary. It's good to teach kids and not adults. Much easier for me.

All Things Shiny and Bright

This is my favorite store in Idaho. They have so many bright and shiny things for my kitchen. So many thing I need. So many things I want. So much money I wish I had. "If wishes were fishes we'd have a good fry. If pig turds were pancakes we'd eat 'til we died." That was what my grandma said to us if we wished for stuff.
Here's Harley helping Janna move pipe with the skidster. She would hang onto the pipe and walk beside the skidster to balance the pipes. Janna would raise it just a little until Harley was walking on her tiptoes. Too funny.
And Bailee playing soccer with the dogs. They have tore this  ball apart playing with it.
We went to Walmart so Bailee could do her Christmas shopping and Austin could  buy something for his Wii. We went to my favorite store to buy some ice cream scoops for Heather. I just love that store. Rush's Restaurant Supply. Doesn't that sound so professional. Again, I just love that store.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for the power of prayer. Janna left her purse at a Mexican restaurant we went to for lunch. It was night time before we realized she had left it there. I told Bailee to pray that we would find the purse with the Christmas money still in it. When we got to the restauant the owner had it and everything was still in it.

Lazy Day

Lunch Yesterday I made a Keto Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole for dinner. AJ liked it but not Janna. Oh well. So today I had it for lunc...
