Papa and Gracie

Gracie loves to help Papa mow the lawn. She sits on his lap and just rides around and around. I think Papa likes it too. He always lets her ride with him. And that cute building in the back is our chicken coop that Papa made for us when we outgrew the first one. Tommy keeps our lawn green and weed free. He's pretty handy. I think I will keep him.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this man of mine. We have been through a lot and are still going strong. What a blessing he is to me.

I couldn't tell you what I have done this week. Obviously not blogging. After we came home from church Gracie found my sunglasses in my car and had to wear them. She loves to wear sunglasses. She does have fun in Sunbeams. But she always want to say the prayer and gets upset when it's not her turn. Tommy went to church again and stayed for all his meetings. 

Grateful Statement: I am grateful for this little lady that I get to take care of. Sometimes it's hard but always worth it. I am blessed and I believe that with all my heart.

Hunting Eggs

 Found One!

Gracie, Tommy and I got up and went to church. I taught the Sunbeams the lesson about the Resurrection. Tommy made an appt. with the Bishop. Miracles happen all the time. 

Gracie loved having Papa in church with her. We went to Primary and Tommy went home. I felt so blessed that he was there with me.

We came home and Gracie found all the eggs Harley had hid for her. She loved it and wore her bunny ears and outfit that Cha Cha gave her for Easter.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that Tommy is coming back to church. I will have faith that he will stay. I am blessed beyond measure.

Job Well Done

Harley bought 4 eighteen pack eggs. I boiled them so they would be ready when Harley got off work. Her and Gracie colored all these eggs. They had so much fun. Cha Cha called Gracie in the middle of all this and Gracie said, "I have to get back to work now". She just keeps us laughing. Now she is all ready for hiding eggs tomorrow.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my Savior and that he Died for me. I am grateful that I will live again after I leave this world. What a wonderful plan. I am blessed!

Bailee and Harley

Bailee asked me to take her pictures for her graduation announcement. We went out to the barn and on the haystack and on her truck and on the fence. We got some pretty cute ones. This on of her and Harley is so cute. These two really get along now.

Gracie of course had to chase the goats and try to catch them. She can't be around them and not chase them. It was fun taking all these pictures of Bailee. Such a cute girl.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for these grandkids. I have loved watching them grow. Blessing abound!

Homeward Bound

I got on the road early this morning. I woke up to snow on my car and I had on flip flops and no coat or sweater. I started my car remotely and waited for it to thaw out. I had to scrap ice off my windshield. Then it was off and running to Idaho. Bye Bye Beaver, Rigby here I come. I can't believe my almost 3 week vacation is over with. Now back to the grind.
I got home around 3pm and sat in my chair. I was a little tired but so happy to see everyone, especially my little Gracie. She told me she missed me so much. It's good to be home.
Grateful Statement: Again I am grateful for a safe drive home. I know I am watched over.

Beaver Here I Come

Comfort Inn

I got on the road about 7am this morning and headed to Beaver, Utah. I went the Flagstaff way because I know the way so well. I got out and walked around 3 or 4 times so my legs wouldn't cramp. It really helped. I made it here about 4pm and checked in. 

I wanted to get something to eat so I went to Dairy Queen for a Hamburger and came back to my room. I put my robe on and settled in. I helped Ruth try to download the Quick Pages she bought yesterday. But it just doesn't work. I bought one and downloaded it just fine. I don't know what the problem is. She will have to call the store and find out.

Now I'm catching up on my blog.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my safe travel here. Heavenly Father watches out for me.

Taking Stuff Back

 

 Torrid's - Good Store

Today Ethel and I took some of the stuff she bought back to the stores. We went to Zuppa's for lunch and then to Fry's for stuff for my trip tomorrow. I have such a good time with her.
Ruth came over tonight and we worked on a page of Denton. She is getting the hang of this stuff. I told her she had to keep it up. I am really tired so I'm going to bed. Tomorrow will be a long day.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the opportunity to visit my cousins and my brought. Family is so important to me. I am blessed!

My Sweet Cousin

Here we are.

Ethel and I went to the Temple today. She works in the laundry so I did a session. It was WONDERFUL. Just what I needed. Time to pray and meditate in the Lord's house. I just love that Ethel lives right down the street from the Temple. We found some lady sitting on a bench and got her to take a picture of us.
We went to lunch at Kneaders after we were done and then it was back to the house. Ruth came over and we scrapbooked and just had fun.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Temples and the knowledge we receive inside. I always learn something new.

Ethel and Ruth came and got me so we could stop by and visited Della and Jake on the way down the mountain. I will dearly miss my sweet brother.
When we got home we sat around and talked (the thing we do the best). I am loving this wonderful time with my cousins. Ruth and I worked on making pages.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for cousins. I love each and every one of them. I am blessed to have them in my life.

Johnnie and I watched Conference in the morning and afternoon. So many wonderful words of wisdom. I always want to do better after listening to the talks. This was from Jeffrey R. Holland, 

"So today we celebrate the gift of victory over every fall we have ever experienced, every sorrow we have ever known, every discouragement we have ever had, every fear we have ever faced—to say nothing of our resurrection from death and forgiveness for our sins. That victory is available to us because of events that transpired on a weekend like this more than two millennia ago in Jerusalem."

I love this so much. I was fed as I watched and listened with my heart.

I managed to make pages throughout the day.

Bud and Frankie came to visit. It was fun to see them again.
Ethel and I were talking about where our mom's were. I had forgotten about paradise. Look what article Johnnie found for me.

Answered all my questions.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Conference. I love to listen to each speaker and find the thing that was meant for me.

Ethel, Ruth and I headed up the mountain to Taylor to drop me off at Johnnie's and then they are going to Jake's to stay with him.
When we got to Johnnie's he had a roast and baked potatoes for us to eat. It was yummy. He loves to feed us when we come. After we ate Ruth and Ethel went to Claysprings. Johnnie and I sat in our chairs and talk and watched the news.  I scrapped some more and then it was time for bed.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my brother Johnnie. He is such a good man and always finds the good in each day. I am blessed that he is my brother.
