Peaceful Lazy Saturday

 Granola

Cookies for Janna

I had a wonderful Saturday. Just had fun cooking things and canning pasta in my gallon jars. I love them because I just use them over and over.
We took Tommy's Blood Sugar Level today and it just said HI which is over 600. We are taking it again in the morning to see where it is at. I became concerned when he drank glass after glass of juice and milk. If it's still high tomorrow he will have to head to the doctor on monday. He had eaten an Apple Fritter and drank 2 huge cups of Hot Chocolate so maybe it will be better. He drank sugar free stuff the rest of the day. So we shall see.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I love to cook and bake. It just makes me happy to learn fun stuff and be able to cook for my family. I am so blessed.

Baking Bread Again

 Helping Grammy with the bread.

Filling the crock pot.

I watched cute little Gracie today. She helped me make bread and pork chops in the crock pot. She absolutely loves to help.
I made bread from the dough in the fridge and made another batch for the fridge. Such good bread and so easy.
Kathy called me to tell me Darrel fell yesterday and is in the hospital. He didn't break anything but he has huge bruises so they put him in the hospital to manage the pain.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father. What a gift to know He is there for me.

Temple Day

I went to the Rexburg Temple with Sue this morning. I always, always, always feel so much better when I come out. I needed inspiration to figure out callings. They reorganized the Primary on Sunday and took one of our teachers so I needed a replacement and a Compassionate Service Coordinator. I felt really good about the people we had decided on so I sent an email to the Bishop and his counselors with names. We will see how it goes. They need primary teachers so we will see.
I came home and made a pot of Italian Pasta and Bean Soup for dinner. It was all I could muster up today.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I live so close to two Temple and I am able to go weekly.

Visiting, Visiting, Visiting, and Winco

Today was a long day. I had to print out Visiting Teaching reports at the church and then go to Shannon Brown's house to train her to be our new Visiting Teaching Coordinator. I went into Idaho Falls to Winco for groceries. What a job. But it is done so I am soooo glad.
Then it was time to visit Carolyn Thurman with Aarin. We had a nice visit. What a super sweet mother she is. So patient with her 4 kids. Came home and made hamburgers for dinner and then it was time to go visit a new sister in our ward. By the time I got done I was ready for bed.
I do enjoy getting to know all the sisters in our ward so it's a good thing to visit.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for this calling. It is hard and takes tons of time, but I love getting to know the sisters in our ward. I am blessed.

Bread Making

Master Dough
+
My first Baguette!

My first loaves made from my Master Dough.

I watched an artisan bread video on Craftsy.com that I had purchased. It was so much fun to see all the breads I can make with my Master Dough that will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. The bread was delicious. Bailee said it was her very favorite I have made. Even better that my focaccia bread. I can make pizzas and pita bread or cinnamon rolls. What fun it is to see all this. The possibilities are endless.
It reminds me of when I lived in Acton and my friend Debbie and I made Sour Dough Bread. Same techniques. And the bread was delicious...
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to learn new things. I am always trying to learn something new. I am blessed that I am able to do these things.

Gracie's Barn

 Gracie's Barn

Gracie loves her barn she got for Christmas. She is having so much fun making it play music and animal noises. I babysat her today so Heather could work. We have a good time together.
Grateful Statement: I am grateful for this wonderful little girl. She has brought such joy into my life. What a blessing she is.

Sabbath Sunday

As I sat in church with Bailee on Sunday I just felt so much love from Heavenly Father. He is so aware of me and my challenges.
Brother Black was our speaker from the High Council. He really laid it on the line.
"Are you reading your scriptures every day" "Why not"
"Do you say prayer morning, noon and night" "Why not"
He talked of the sins of commision and omission. So I am going to be more regular in studing my scriptures daily.
Emma Giles gave our lesson in Relief Society. She is such a fun teacher.
That has been my beautiful Sabbath.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows what I need and reminds me of my weakness' so they can become my strengths.

Lazy Day
