Harrison entered the MTC this morning surrounded by his family that love him so much. He will be an outstanding missionary and the people of San Diego will be blessed because of his efforts. I love this grandson of mine.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the Missionary Program that allows these young men and women to go forth and teach and preach the Gospel. Blessing will abound for this family.

We left Gilbert about 6am and headed to Flagstaff and on to Beaver to our Hotel. We stopped for lunch and a trip to Walmart in Page. When we got to Beaver we went to the Cache Valley Cheese store and Kathy bought a bunch of cheese. 

We went to dinner at the Timberline Restaurant and I had my very first ever Monte Christo Sandwich. It was very delicious. Then it was back to our hotel and we snuggled in for the night. We watched some "Alaska, The Last Frontier" and then it was off to la la land. I slept so well.

We got up in the morning and had breakfast in the Hotel and then headed for Idaho. It was a long trip but we arrived safely. Gracie was very glad to see me.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for the wonderful vacation I had with my best friend. I am blessed to have her in my life.

Gracie and Her Loot

I picked up Gracie this morning from Cha Cha's. She loves her Barbie car and all the stuff she got from her Mommie and Cha Cha. I gave Heather a big hug and told her I loved her and then we were off.  It is a long 4 hour drive but Gracie was a trooper. I got home around 1:30 in the afternoon.
I unpacked the car and ordered my Journal books for 2015 and 2016. I'm not crazy about the format with the new blog but the journaling is there and that is the important thing.
I helped Ruth with her journaling on her pages. She is doing so well and really understanding how to do everything. I am so glad that she is catching on.
Now it's time to clean my house for the Halloween party for the preschool tomorrow. And my Home Teacher is coming over to visit at 8pm. What a day!
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for this little munchkin. She is so loved by us all. What a blessing she is in my life.

Harrison's Farewell

I went to Church today to hear the talk given by Harrison for his farewell. His talk was so awesome. There was not a sound in the Chapel during his talk. I have never heard it so quiet.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for Harrison and his willingness to do hard things. He will be blessed for his efforts. And I will pray for him always.

Hannah is Getting Married

I packed my bags and Gracie's and off we went to Utah. Gracie is staying with Cha Cha and Heather and I am going to Dean's for Harrison's Farewell. Tommy didn't feel like he could make the drive so it was just me and Gracie. It was a pretty easy drive and I went up to Dean's and hung out all evening doing book work.
Dean and Amie went to Salt Lake to get their pictures done for Harrison's mission and the family. Also for Hannah's engagement pictures for her wedding. She will be marrying Stockton on May 5 (Cinco de Mayo). I am so glad she found her Keeper. He is wonderful.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my cute Hannah. I am so glad that she is getting married to Stockton. Blessing abound in our family.

Winco

Kathy and I went to Walmart, Winco and Applebee's. Gracie tagged along with us. We got lots of things done. Kathy got her chocolate chips and I got a few groceries. By the time we got home I was too tired to spread Manure in the garden boxes so I told Kathy we weren't doing it and I would do it later.
Before we went to bed Kathy made a batch of yummy Wheat Bread. She has my Bosch now so she can make bread for her family. It is so easy it takes about 15 minutes to mix and then raise for about 30 minutes, bake for 30 minutes and bread is ready. Now she knows how!
She will be going home tomorrow so we needed to get it done tonight. It was fun. I always like cooking with Kathy.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I can make Wheat Bread. What a blessing to grind my wheat and make my bread.

All Ready

I had to take Tommy to Physical Therapy this morning so Kathy stayed home and worked on my Garden Boxes. She cleaned all the dead plants out and fed them to the chickens and goats. She worked so hard for me. I just love her and she will never know how much that helped me. I was just dreading doing this. After I got back we finished the tomato boxes.

I made Taco Soup for dinner and after I finished we took Tommy's truck and went to Lowe's in search of Manure. It was a disaster. First of, we couldn't figure out the lights and didn't realize we were using parking lights. No wonder it was so dim. Then we couldn't get the heater to work. I found out later that the heater didn't work. No one at Lowe's really wanted to get me 17 bags of Manure but I wasn't going home without it. So finally they were able to load it in the back of Tommy's truck with a fork lift. And it just happened to be two women that did it.

We had a good laugh about all our problems. But it was fun.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my wonderful friend that is really my sister. She is so willing to help me do anything. I am blessed!
