Winco

Kathy and I went to Walmart, Winco and Applebee's. Gracie tagged along with us. We got lots of things done. Kathy got her chocolate chips and I got a few groceries. By the time we got home I was too tired to spread Manure in the garden boxes so I told Kathy we weren't doing it and I would do it later.
Before we went to bed Kathy made a batch of yummy Wheat Bread. She has my Bosch now so she can make bread for her family. It is so easy it takes about 15 minutes to mix and then raise for about 30 minutes, bake for 30 minutes and bread is ready. Now she knows how!
She will be going home tomorrow so we needed to get it done tonight. It was fun. I always like cooking with Kathy.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I can make Wheat Bread. What a blessing to grind my wheat and make my bread.

All Ready

I had to take Tommy to Physical Therapy this morning so Kathy stayed home and worked on my Garden Boxes. She cleaned all the dead plants out and fed them to the chickens and goats. She worked so hard for me. I just love her and she will never know how much that helped me. I was just dreading doing this. After I got back we finished the tomato boxes.

I made Taco Soup for dinner and after I finished we took Tommy's truck and went to Lowe's in search of Manure. It was a disaster. First of, we couldn't figure out the lights and didn't realize we were using parking lights. No wonder it was so dim. Then we couldn't get the heater to work. I found out later that the heater didn't work. No one at Lowe's really wanted to get me 17 bags of Manure but I wasn't going home without it. So finally they were able to load it in the back of Tommy's truck with a fork lift. And it just happened to be two women that did it.

We had a good laugh about all our problems. But it was fun.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my wonderful friend that is really my sister. She is so willing to help me do anything. I am blessed!

Heading Home To Idaho

Cheese, Cheese, Cheese

We left Ethel's about 6am and headed for Flagstaff. Thank goodness I have Kathy to drive in the dark because I can't. We stopped in Page for lunch and a trip to Walmart. Then it was on to the Glen Canyon Dam. We got out and walked around to stretch our legs and see the sites.

Then it was on to Beaver to our hotel. We went to the Cache Valley Cheese and Kathy bought a bunch of cheese. Thank goodness we had a fridge in our hotel room.

We went to our hotel and snuggled in for the night. We watched a little "Alaska, The Last Frontier" and went to sleep. I slept so good.

We got up and had breakfast in the hotel and headed for Idaho. We stopped in Tremonton for lunch and the hit the road again for Rigby. It was so good to get home and see my little Gracie. She was so glad that I was home.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful that I was able to spend this time with my best friend seeing my family.

Red Robin Restaurant

We had so much fun at Ethel's. We ate Quinoa Soup that Ruthie brought over. I took a picture of Ruthie fixing Ethel's toilet. After all, what are sisters for. 

Ruthie, Kathy and I went to the Temple to take some pictures. Kathy and I had went to the Gilbert Temple and did some initiatories for my names and I didn't take my camera or phone. So we came back to get some pictures. 

We went to Ethel's ward on Sunday and saw Pete and his family there. It was a wonderful meeting and really great speakers.

Ruthie is practicing with her new camera that she bought. It was so much fun taking pictures of all of us. We met a sweet Latino couple that took a picture of all of us together. We took some of him and his wife and baby.

We went to the Red Robin for dinner on Monday night. Shannon and Tia joined us. We had so much fun talking and laughing. Then it was off to bed so I could get up early. 

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my cousins and how welcome they make me feel. I am blessed to be part of this wonderful family.

Saying Goodbye

Kathy and I went to the Grand Canyon this morning and then up to my brother's house in Taylor. We hit so much road construction that it took us forever to go from the Grand Canyon to my brother's. But we were only an hour late. Johnnie had a roast, potatoes and carrots ready for our dinner. It was so delicious. 

Then we watched TV and talked until bed time. I was brushing my teeth when I heard a crash. I found Johnnie on the floor in my bedroom. He was trying to kill a bug that was on my bed and fell down and hit his back on  the night stand. He was in tons of pain, so Kathy and I got him up on his feet and he sat on my bed for a while until the pain was a little better. It was really scary to see how unsteady he is. 

Tomorrow afternoon we will be going to Gilbert. I just hate leaving my brother but we must get on with our vacation.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my wonderful big brother. He is such a blessing to me. 

Flying To Las Vegas

I finished packing my suitcase and backpack for my trip. Janna took me to the Airport this afternoon and I flew to Las Vegas where Kathy picked me up. It was a huge Airport and we like to never found each other. We went to Flagstaff and checked into our room. On the way we stopped at a Cafe on Route 66. They had tons of old cars and the food was delish. I wish I would have taken pictures.
Grateful Statement: I am so grateful I am able to travel and see my family. And I am grateful for my Tommy that never makes me feel bad about leaving him behind. I am blessed!

Gracie, Janna, AJ, Bailee and Austin went to Disneyland. They had a condo by the beach and had so much fun playing in the ocean and picking up shells off the beach. They rode rides and saw tons of Disney Characters. Gracie loved it. I wasn't able to go because Tommy wasn't well enough to leave behind. There is always next time.

Grateful Statement: I am so grateful for my sweet daughter that thinks of others all the time. She is truly a caring wonderful human being. I am blessed to call her my daughter.
